Lovely moments this morning watching this steadily climb for the first 15 mins - happy start to the day.
Yep. A good plan. As long as you've got your eye on your tax levels. Selling profits go into your capital gains pile, while divi's go into your earnings. So I'm pressuming that you've got an eye on that part. Just a heads up for people really.
Nothing that Lidls don't ask their staff to do already. Makes efficient use of staff time and better ownership of their work environment. Makes sound financial and structural sense to me. Less of the 'ooh look at that mess, let's ring a bell & get someone to clear that up for me' attitude can only be positive in a work place. The UK as a whole could take a lesson from that looking at the state of our littered & fouled countryside.
Kicking myself for ducking out too early but a bird in the hand, etc, etc. Like you say, Darkangelv2 , retail is scary at the mo and I figure they can drop like a stone once they realise how much all this Covid stuff has really cost.
I agree with The Janbo, any time this hits sub £3 it's worth picking them up. The company's solid & they're not disappearing off the scene any time soon - unlike some of the builders and airlines.
Bought these a few weeks ago & been happy with the upward trajectory. However feel retail market will now take a bit of a breather while it digests impact figures arriving, so reckon there will be a retrace. Therefore have ducked out for a bit. Hope my instinct is right!
To commit to a target in 2030 shows a certain amount of confidence by the board that the company is still going to be around then!! Reassuring I suppose.
Not a bad start to this one either :)
Read yesterday that they've run all different scenarios on their financial position during this covid nonsense and they come out cash fluid in all ways. Afraid I've tried to find the link but it was a reputable place. It was posted yesterday if you want to search for it. Reckon the only way is up for these babies for a while.
Just got into this one. Figure we've all got time on our hands now to do stuff in the garden & the house and this is the place making it's stuff available. Got to benefit the share price I reckon.
Been trying to sell these the last few days with no luck at all. Think we're doomed......
That's what I love about this board - you guys are amazing - how do you dig up this stuff? A real eye opener on IGS. Well done TT.
Thank you :)
Same happens to me re buying then the shares dropping - it's good to hear I'm not alone in this phenomenon. Watch this one take a plummet now! In true comfort eating fashion (stockmarket style) I've just lost a shed load on KEA so, rather than eating a load of cake I've bought CAKE. Hope my new take on an old habit will reap better rewards.
Well I think we need not kid ourselves any longer guys. The boat we have been watching for a while now, sailing towards the horizon with our money on board has finally disappeared beyond the horizon. I continue to watch the horizon with vain hope that it may turn around, but in my heart I know it's not coming back. There's a few of us standing at the quayside staring longingly but I think we have to admit it to ourselves - it's time to turn away and look somewhere else. GLA
re lloyds well done you - unlike me - i dumped mine at 78 just before the election results - how gutted am i??????
Oh you don't know how good it is to read that I'm not the only one. Am practically in exactly the same position as you. At that stage where the amount it will cost to sell my holding isn't worth it so, may as well hold on and see if the impossible / improbable happens. Symbolic thumping of fist twice in sternum to you :)
Thanks for that - will take a look at Shan's posts. Was tempted to buy but reminded myself of my 3 day rule, generally i've noticed when you've sat and watched a share rise for 2 plus days on the 3rd day you crack and buy only to find it falls on the 4th - which is how it seems to have panned out - at last, after all these years, i've managed to practice what i preach ;)
Yes, when I got in here I never thought the tag name would depict how it felt to own the shares too - a true groundhog of a share!
LOL - we should take bets, but then again i never gamble ;)
