Graphcore is in an interesting position.

It stands to benefit from the increased adoption of AI solutions. The main beneficiary is expected to be Nvidia, hence the recent surge in their SP. The focus on foundation models is likely to improve the funding environment for companies that can demonstrate they can play a part even if that involves specialising in a niche area rather than trying to eat Nvidia's lunch.

Graphcore is also a potential beneficiary of political interest in AI from both the UK government's super computer funding and EU strategies to reduce dependence on US chips and cloud providers.

Cazoo and Allplants get classed as tech in the same way Amazon does as they are e-commerce.

It's easy to look at a company like Thought Machine with a 100x sales for year ending 2021 and decide it is way overvalued whilst ignoring the company is expanding globally.

So it's £25m sales from a couple of regional customers in 2021 could quickly grow to £100m once 10 international customers are onboarded.

It's also weird to be looking at venture capital portfolio companies and wondering why they aren't all at 5x sales or making a profit.
