I do not understand why you would look to a forum such as this for investment advice.

The only accurate appraisal of this recently has been from Sage who for once I am in agreement with.

The comments from MV about the start up scene being a buyer's market applies to their own portfolio as much as to any opportunities that are available.

In what way do you see that as a good trading update? They had to write down another £70m, which I am assuming includes writing down Graphcore to £0.

Yeah that's one I have hopes for. I read a detailed report from short sellers of Twist Biosciences and they reckoned Evonetix were mentioned as likely to eat their lunch.

Also, volume was quite high before lunch yesterday then dropped right off.

There has been at least 1 persistent seller dumping recently and there seemed to be a buyer yesterday morning (maybe AVI Global again). So if volume down because seller done that would be nice.

Worth taking a look at AVI Global who have built up a 5% stake. You would hope they have kicked the tyres and had a good look under the bonnet.

Multiple of 8 is fair for tech companies. That's what UI Path has been trading at on US markets and it is seen as undervalued.

Revenue can also change rapidly. For example, Hive MQ , a core company doubled their revenue in a year

In addition to the acquisition of Friday Finance by Pliant, portfolio company Targomo has also been acquired. Some reports say they had recently raised capital so wasn't likely to have been sold due to any financial issues.

So hopefully MV will have had some cash inflows of a few million.

This Earlybird investment seems to be doing quite well. They have just bought the German operations of Luko after the rest of Luko was bought by Admiral.

The insurtech says it recently doubled revenue and achieved an operating profit.

I think the only hope for Graphcore is SoftBank.

Received investment from Yuga Labs following on from a joint project they are working on. They seem to be getting a lot of traction for their spatial computing tech for simulation with clients ranging from the UK army and work with BAE (they attended DSEI together recently) to fashion shows and promotions at Cannes to digital twins for traffic management etc

This money, likely to be in the low millions will help increase Hadean's US footprint.

I sincerely doubt it. I don't think anyone is tracking the portfolio that closely.

Other portfolio companies that are actually in the core have had much better news.
