Everything at the moment about Anthropic is hype because they are currently doing a fundraise at a massively increased valuation from the last one 4 months ago.

Anthropic have captured a tiny part of the market that they are predicted to capture in the coming years. Yet they are already facing serious capacity constraints and are having to invest colossal amounts in buying data centre capacity from the likes of Amazon in addition to building their own.

The problem is there is just not enough power available and water consumption for cooling systems is also a major issue. That's why Musk is talking about putting data centres in orbit for solar power and reduced cooling costs.

Well when Anthropic lists later in the year at whatever inflated AI bubble valuation then you can buy in to them.

No one is talking about how much the queries will cost Anthropic to run in terms of data centre processing costs never mind the energy needed to provide sufficient data centre capacity.

I have decided to stop marking my investments to market. I think it's one of the biggest mistakes retail investors make.

If I am taking a long term view then this way don't need to worry about daily price fluctuations.

The Anthropic cowork plug in they are talking about is something that is available as beta for testing by Mac users only that are paying 100 a month.

In addition it all comes with hefty information security warnings, it doesn't work offline leaving sensitive data vulnerable, would not pass compliance within any enterprise, and cannot handle sensitive data.

And a legal website published a short piece on it yesterday and then it becomes Bloomberg news!

Purely coincidental that they are trying to get a fundraise away at 350bn 💰. Which is double what they were valued at 4 months ago. And they are also pushing for an IPO later in the year so don't believe the hype.

The Bloomberg article on the legal plugin has no details of their source. There's nothing I can see on the Anthropic website in terms of a press release so seems somewhat strange.

Maybe the potential for armed conflict between the US and Europe?

I am familiar with an Irish drone delivery company called Manna- they are competing with Amazon and Google's drone company Wing.

They are being used for takeaways, delivering books or medicine - maybe 2-3 grocery items at a time max load.

It's a different sector unless you are expecting to see drones the size of a transit van anytime soon.

No the only way this goes up is if they get new supermarkets signed up for the warehouse automation kit.

What would a flu outbreak in the UK have to do with Ocado being able to sell more modules to current customers and finding new warehouse automation customers?

He has only been an analyst for 5 years and he specialises in retail stocks like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Inditex

Ocado is a technology/ robotics company and so should have a tech stock analyst covering it.

Ocado is valued as a grocer when it's revenue comes from sales of warehouse automation robotics and software.

I think William Woods the Bernstein guy is really losing his mind on this. He was one of the biggest boosters even when the SP low. Seems more based on emotional response than professional opinion.
