This was updated last week. As well as frozen positive samples in P3 it mentions evaluation of positive samples from Lighthouse Labs 'in the field'.
Also that tests will be evaluated against each other to speed up

This says that PHE Porton Down evaluated the other tests for the variants of concern so presumably Porton Down must be evaluating the Avacta test for AS to be able to confirm that PHE said it could detect the SA variant

AS said last week PHE confirmed that the test identified the SA variant.
