The trial is ongoing. They are still recruiting up until the end of the year.
Any delays to an update is probably because they want to provide a comprehensive update including as many patients as possible.

If they released an update that showed 0518 in 30 patients instead of the 12 in the initial trial and it more or less replicated the previous results I don't think that would change much.

What will be worthwhile is data in as many patients as possible along with news on taking 0518 to late stage trials with FDA engagement

It is unfortunate that the bulk of 4D shareholders are impatient small time shareholders that struggle to understand announcements made by the company.

(UK IIs are largely constrained by the risk averse culture fostered by the FCA that discourages them from investing in small cap Aim stocks. As far as the Nasdaq is concerned unless you are valued over $300m you are classed as a penny stock and again you will get few takers.)

The 0518 data was to be announced in late summer /early autumn. The reason for the delay given was the extended analysis of the 0518 data with the biomarkers of the responders and non responders. This was a game changer as they can predict which late stage cancer patients 0518 is most likely to work in.

This meant that it would make sense to release the 0518 update along with the most recent biomarker analysis at the same time.

If further data confirms what they have published previously it would mean that they could move quickly to a pivotal trial in that group, with a possible approval and sales via Breakthrough Therapy designation.

If that happened I think Merck would be quick to step in and make an offer.

Why exactly do you believe Miliciclib and Foralumab are so good without any hard evidence?

If they had so much potential why were the companies that developed them so keen to wash their hands of them?

And why has Miliciclib been sitting doing nothing for well over 2 years if it has so much potential?

If you have a good drug in a small biotech you do everything you can to expedite it through trials. You don't push it to the back burner to focus on another drug.

All they do is talk about how great Miliciclib and Foralumab are without running the necessary trials to prove what they say.

No Davey, completing a Phase 2a does not mean that there is a Phase 3 to come.

It's called Phase 2a for a reason. As in 2b would need to be completed first.

Given that many millions will need to be raised and spent before commercialisation why would "big pharma" spend loads on unproven assets?

Oh right. So the Covid stuff was all hype then, was it?

And I know plenty about Tils and it's "pipeline" .

But the company needs to get the drugs out of theory and into practice in trials.

If Foralumab did have real potential to treat covid effectively, do you really think that they would have taken this long to get a trial going?

I am patient. I am nearly 4 years in with another biotech where the price is rock bottom.

But they make progress. They run trials. They are due to release data from 3 trials and are about to start at least 2 more.

All the money Tils raised last year for clinical trials is all getting spent on wages and admin and listing delisting

No mate it's not about patience. It's about a biotech company that hasn't run a trial for almost a year.

One thing is being patient. Another is being comatose.

The statements made by Tils in RNS are a mile away from the peer reviewed publication on the Brazil Covid study.

Sangi - so November (late autumn) was just your pure speculation then? Just want to make sure i am getting this right? Nobody mention late autumn. You sounded very sure of yourself and normally consider you trustworthy. Cheers

Interesting points Richie.
I haven't done as much research around the asthma treatment as I have with say oncology. From previous comments by DP I think 4D critique the common model of asthma that is focused on treating the symptoms in favour of one that addresses the root causes. They are looking to treat the 2 main asthma phenotypes , neutrophilic and eosinophilic where there's severe unmet need in neutrophilic for cases classed as severe.

DP also stated previously that before 0518 began to be studied the asthma candidate was the one generating the most excitement amongst the 4D scientists.

There seems to be some doubts now around the use of the maintenance therapies with suggestions that over reliance on them and reducing reliance on short term/emergency relievers is leading to more exacerbations and hospitalisations.
