It's also worth noting that there is no legal obligation to have a new meter installed, although new builds are fitted with the digital meter as standard.

I haven't had any dealings with E-on
But generally all those companies have the same policy about smart meters!
They are in my mind deceiving customers about the meters by claiming that their meters are more accurate than the old clock one's!
When in actual fact they round the readings up.
Where as the old clock one's that are " coming to the end of their useful lives" are in actual fact more accurate as they give an exact reading down to one 10000th of a KWH.
It's for this reason that I refuse to have a new meter installed, coupled with the old clock one's are very much still in perfect working order & I'm not having my carbon footprint increased for an unnecessary "Smart meter"
This also would go a long way to explaining why the Government plan to have all UK homes fitted with new meters by 2020 has miserably failed.

Our Government are good at ignoring the elephant in the room.
Asbestos is another matter! There's an old film of the Africans in the mines, covered from head to toe in the stuff.
The bit that stood out for me is that the expectant lifespan of An African miner was 6-8 months.
Before going on to say how useful a mineral it was for things like fireblankets & roofing etc.
More recently is the use of MDF particle products.
This was introduced into the UK in the early 80's from the States, at the same time the US had warned that its carcinogenic.
I I was an apprentice Joiner at the time & worked with both of these products without any PPE
The roofing in the timber yard was predominantly asbestos & because it was dangerous I was told never use a saw on the stuff!
So we used to mark it with a pencil & popped it with a nail punch which made it airborne anyway.
Touch wood I'm ok for now, but asbestos can lie dormant in the lungs for 60 years..
That's nearly 40 years ago.

My ex has unfortunately got MS the same rare strain that a female campaigner has, in her fight for reparation for the soldiers families.

There they were on the shore wearing tropical head wear shorts & boots.
Down came the bomb on the horizon, having been told not to look at it as it landed.

Hi Les
Someone gave the original figure of 36p per Billion, which i have been using as a ball park figure for my own amusement. I'm not sure if the 36p was after conversation from cents into pence though. This was before the recent raises, so my fag packet figure of .2566p per Billion to work with.
Less the percentage within the various % within the various districts.
