I'm certainly no expert, but for me it's actually a very good question. I have mentioned on here a few times, when the poster's with a negative agenda, would have us believe everyone is selling , the SP is tanking etc etc. When there's very little volume being traded, the obvious conclusion here is shorters are at work.
The SP can move up/down very sharply too, again on little volume, which normally aligns with a large spread, which some see as MM's trying to create movement. Remember shorters only borrow shares.
Derampers appear anytime, all the time, some of the time, aiming to get the SP lower.
Getting back to the volume, there's almost 3 Billion shares in issue, so as a percentage, a little over half a percent has been traded today, but this includes buys & sells. So the negative types here can't respond to 99.95% are happy to hold.
