There's a company in England which takes Carbon from the air to make diamonds. I believe Japan, which has been developing their hydrogen technology for some 30 years. Are trying to harness hydrogen directly from the air, to power cars. There's amazing potential in hydrogen development.

The US are still buying palladium, shortly after the war started the US actually increased buying from Russia. I haven't been able to find any new reports that specifically list palladium.
Surely if it is included on the latest sanctions, then the price would go the same way as gas & oil.

As you say, apart from the Sinosteel contract/agreement. You aren't aware of any other Chinese involvement.
Its worth noting that the biggest producer of commodities & the biggest importer of commodities, is China. So personally I wouldn't rule them out.
