The key for me is not the one-off RNS, as great as it is. It's Bushveld following through and actually building some momentum, especially behind BE and the catalysis of their impact on our business, revenue generating capability and by proxy, our share price.

It is there for the taking.

Recent momentum was built by day traders, not Bushveld. They were too early and they bailed at 15p. It was a classic pump and dump really.

Momentum is slowly being built by Bushveld themselves. the market needs to see them taking control of their own destiny, newsflow and SP, not our SP being ruled entirely the 20% brigade. Clearly Fortune is building a chain of events that will take us way past 15p, given the convergence of news / critical items from GS selling ending, Duferco and Eskom to electrolyte, leasing and offtakes. And as a shareholder I expect some strategic thought to be given to how best to deploy this newsflow to actually repay the support shareholders have shown.

Remember Fortune was very publicly talking about opportunities arriving at all at once in his last interview. He has much to now deliver upon and I am sure he will.

Purely out of interest - I dont have any shares in them, EMH is currently rising signifcantly due to a youtube video being shared stating Tesla are'/should be (big difference!) looking to buy them as part of their EU lithium supply chain. The power of association and rumour hey....

Makes a lot of sense Mogwhy. I subscribe to the fall-out argument also. The timing of all of this and the lack of resilience and fight shown by the board to support shareholders as their holdings get annihilated is surely no coincidence. I imagine Duferco would not have been pleased to see us firing out loads of RNS' - I imagine this would be one of the conversations we haven't been privy to that I alluded to yesterday.

I wonder if they actually thought the 15p rise would hold or at least not retrace almost entirely to current levels. During the pandemic the £ has lost around 17% of its value against the $. Given we are paid in dollars it is another factor that should be contributing to raising our MC cap pretty significantly. Another factor that isnt being acknowledged... Along with all the others.

It is very worth reminding yourself that SA is in a very different situation to the UK at present, with summer ahead.

Whilst Europe struggles, Bushveld have been focusing on building the Chinese market and VRFB with very good reason.

American stocks are predicted to rally today, whilst falls in Asia have been miniscule due to their successful mgmt of Covid.

I think we are in agreement. Vanitec was purely a reference point. My interest is in what Bushveld do, I appreciate as you well know from our discussions, the nuances of how difficult Vanitec has been to corral. I also did not conflate marketing/PR with the share price. For me it is more about the maturity of the business and continuing to level up in terms of quality of output across the board. The same way we are trying to eek out the best from our productions, we should aim for the best from our promotional activities as we grow.

I would also note in these discussions, that it is important to be clear around the very separate disciplines of brand identity, marketing and PR. They are not the same. They are also not within the umbrella of Investor relations. The fact that we don't employ these disciplines in-house does also mean that each area needs servicing by external parties. For me, the best answer would be a well-reputed, full service agency that can cover off all of these elements as necessary, whilst being able to take a view over the inter-relation of each service line.

Just as an FYI, not a criticism. Bushveld mentioned they would be looking to recruit a marketing director around September. Obviously due to Covid this hasn't happened, but you wouldn't be doing that unless you recognised that it was fundamentally an issue. It has clearly been acknowledged.

Our current PR company are a very small outfit and probably spread way too thin. They also don't specialise in digital. Personally I would just like to see them employ a company that match their aspirations,not a company that reflect more where they have come from. They also do PR for Vanitec which also isn't really anything to write home about.
