To be fair I think Calamonte has been working to turn this around even if he was part of the team that accumulated 1 billion of stock. Now that he has got rid of over half and written off another chunk hopefully they are selling units at higher prices and more profit. He really should have done the Atlanta impairment last time round.

He has to show better underlying profitability now in the next six months..no more excuses! I fear a low ball take out of under £10 if no improvement.

Interesting there has been nothing in the press regarding why the Asos price drop to such low level all of a sudden. Says to me that there is no fundamental performance reason that can be attributed.

Need to see a bounce from 250p...

There would have been more shorts piling in if there was any sort of leak. The trade data has not shown any trades of size over the last two weeks.

The fact that Ashley sold some physical shares and still managed to increase his holding shows games are being played here using derivatives to a stage where nearly 45% of the value of the company has been lost from January.

From the RNS it looks like he sold some physical shares and also sold put options - the net result was an increase in voting rights.

I thought options carry no voting rights - anyone know how it does per the RNS?

And looks like at THG as well!

Most likely using derivatives like options and cfds to lower the price then buys.. he is actually a nuisance.

Even today didn't buy physical shares - increased using financial instruments.

At least we haven't dropped big amount today. Hopefully that was the bottom!

On Thursday, HSBC (LON:HSBA) analyst Charlie Rothbarth revised the firm’s stance on ASOS (LON:ASOS) Plc (ASC:LN) (OTC: ASOMY), upgrading the stock from Reduce to Hold, while adjusting the price target to GBP2.70 from the previous GBP3.20.

I pretty confident somehow Ashley is going to turn up here with a larger holding. Barker was buying big chunks before - maybe he has been stuck in a closed period as he is on the board now. ADFN showing buy vol 104k vs Sell 93k and all piddly sized trades.

Roberto, how have they been able to bring the company market cap down by 40% with out any large sells?

I'll keep buying every 10p drop. Trade data for today about 78k for both buys and sells and not one large trade recorded either way.

Someone is playing with derivatives here. They reiterated guidance in January so should be no shock profit warning that drops this 40 percent. My hunch is that Ashley is playing here and will be able to collect shares at rock bottom prices using options.

There has to be some sort of derivatives play going on here as the trade data doesn't warrant a drop of this size. Do you agree?

Largest sell is for about 9000 shares

This stinks of some sort of manipulation using cfd's or other instrument to get the price down to where we are..

Apart from the write off.. anything better than guidance would be really good right now!
