Always annoying but I think a real opportunity to bring your average down. They tend to sell on to people like Legal and general so I think the market chaos will have impacted the decisions. At these prices I personally consider a bargain given such a well run and balanced company. DYOR as they say
Have followed this company for three years now. Really well run and a good balanced business. Two chartered surveyors in the family so we keep an eye on this company more closely. This is just one of those rare huge opportunities. Total market over reaction and therefore an opportunity to really fill up. I have been buying big time .
Hi, for some reason it is not on either the Grindrod or Taylor sites. I saw reference to it on an American Grindrod share chat page. If you type in SEC Grindrod shipping you will see the releases. The one you want is dated 30 September. Given it looks as thought the deal is going ahead and will double the size of the company I purchased more Taylor shares this morning. Good luck all
ten day extension , all work principally concluded. will hopefully leave us with a US$1b valued company, great dividends and a much higher valuation. non exec bought a load yesterday
Hopefully this is proceeding towards a deal. Ten day extension filed with files stating majority of negotiation concluded . 50,000 share buy by non exec director, father of CEO, shows faith. Result would be a company double the size valued circa US$1B .
Just received !
I am with II . Thought we were due a dividend today ? Has everyone received it ? thank you
Hi Trek, we share this share as well ! I wondered how you felt about the 15 per cent tax deduction ? My own view is even after this the dividend is first class . I have to say I find some of the US tax implications strange. I also hold US dollar shares in Grindrod shipping and Taylor Maritime but neither of these have the 15 percent applied. Fingers crossed the markets settle but no sign yet
Decided to hold off this morning to think this through and do some further research. Having now done that I offer the following thoughts. 1. The market has over reacted, no surprise there. 2. The figures for the USA are excellent, particularly when you think some of the sales team were still being recruited in June. 3. Perhaps most important of all, the figures would have been much much better if it had not been for the APAC sales. In looking at this I did not realise that throughout many parts of that region restrictions were only eased in late June ! Overall therefore, and along with the new distribution agreements sales will only get significantly stronger. As a result I took advantage of the drop and bought more this morning. As always dyor
I think the last few messages have confirmed this is the best board by far. We have all been through something of a roller coaster with this company but fingers crossed we are about to be rewarded ..... let alone have a good laugh at the same time ! I laughed so much in my study my wife came in and I showed her. She burst out laughing as well !
Interesting that in the last couple of weeks the big seller seems to have finally gone and the buys outway the sells by some considerable margin. I am in fact a little surprised that given the margin has been so great the price has not gone higher. The bottom line, however, is that there are not so many shares in circulation so with this demand for shares continuing a rise is inevitable...particularly given imminent even better results plus the announcement of local USA bottling. I actually bought more this week as I still see this price as a huge buying opportunity.
No probs, Re UK launch and bottling in particular they want to get the USA really up and running and also learn from that launch and experience. Then take the lessons learnt and apply to the UK next year. Very exciting time indeed.
Hope the title says it all. At the agm which I attended it was made clear they are planning to announce this in the third quarter. It has not happened yet. It is a totally separate event to the earlier signed and announced USA distribution agreement. When announced it will be big news and really give a push to the share price.
Very pleased with this share but read in its results today that 50 per cent of its revenues come from govt subsidies. If the new govt cut green support, will we be exposed ? Grateful for thoughts
Very pleased this is starting to recover even before the various bits of good news re increased US sales and local bottling etc. It sells a superb product, once you try it you don't go back as they stay. Hopefully 10p by year end latest then onwards and upwards including a UK launch next year to look forward to. As always dyor
