Thanks Mike. Returning Dec 9 and wish I could ! Yes been following the sliding rates which I believe is normal at this time of year . Equally awaiting the release and hopefully further news . Absorbing the acquisition has taken an awful lot of time and effort so I am expecting some new announcements between dec 5 and up to year end March .

Hi all , personally I think shipping is so cyclical that if they can sell a few older shops to reduce debt and build a reserve then it would be a good move . Prices achieved so far are excellent and I don’t think they would sell any too cheaply . Fingers crossed for dec 5 . Time as they say will tell .

Hi Mike , on the next update from the company do we get the latest nav figure ? If yes do you have an idea what it might be ? I believe the grindrod integration is now pretty much complete so onwards and upwards . I find it very difficult to call the market next year so very comfortable if debt can be paid down further and indeed if possible a cash fund can be accumulated so it can take advantage of any future opportunities if ship prices were to dip . I am tracking this company with a view to investing but was a little surprised by this move . Does it own South African interests ? I own Taylor maritine who are one of many company’s who have recently delisted from this exchange due to its costs and small benefits .

Mike , your points noted . But presumably nav would have been even poorer if the fleet was the size before disposals ?

Hi Krusty, hopefully with costs coming down and charter rates better than last year we will have a better year financially. Agreed with the ship deal. Very astute. Given the fleet is now much more modern and with greater carrying capacity, again more profit, ship sales will start to cease. However, Eds father made his money by selling ships at the height of the market and buying exactly the same ones back in the dip.Overall I'm happy and will wait to near the ex div date to decide whether to reinvest or take the dividend

Good morning Mike . I too homed in on the nav and agree re your explanation . Post review period they have contracted for a new ship so I think perhaps 32 ? Clearly the idea was to end up with the same sort of fleet size pre grindrod but with a more modern , heavier carrying fleet . I am also very pleased with charter rates and cost savings . By the day is becoming a very lean operation . Esg reports are not my thing but was hugely impressed with the report yesterday. For me one of the biggest positives is further debt reduction . This is becoming a more uncertain world by the day and a company that is strong financially can only be a good thing to face potential challenges .

With charter rates good, real effort concerning cost cutting and economies of scale ongoing , plus debt hugely paid down so less interest repayments I am more confident . Plus a more modern higher capacity fleet . We will know for sure Friday .
