Travis Perkins results were dire -the market is still in decline with no recovery and Lords are cash constrained-nevertheless I have been buying a few on the principle they might be a three or four bagger in 10 years time -there profits ( if there will be any )are pitiful on nearly half a billion turnover

I did buy another 90000 shares at 26.40 which was below the mid price- I think the problem being is their is little appetite for small caps and the company talks a better game than it delivers - a company that has nearly half a billion turnover which is barely profitable is the problem

Interestingly just bought 73k shares of this dog below market price at 27.40 about 25 mins ago but hasn’t shown up

It has a net asset value of around 2.85 a share so on that basis extraordinarily undervalued- on an earnings basis more than fully valued

Brokers forecasts for the year end 2025 average about 5 million after tax putting them on a pe of just less than 11 times earnings- you clearly believe they will do more than double the brokers consensus

I think your fantasising on net profit it will be more like 5 or 6 million not 12

These broker forecasts unfortunately are our fantasy-the results were as poor as expected 4 or 5 million pounds profit on nearly half a billion turnover is miserly with an improvement in business these should be worth more but silly targets like this just take punters for fools

I’m afraid if you rely on analysts you will end in the poor house - the problem really with all these AIM shares is low liquidity and total lack of buying interest - I have other small cap shares -I own one share that has a post tax profit of 5 million and is valued at 27 million-by those standards this one’s not cheap
