MSC bought two older ships because they needed them to meet their commercial objectives. To apportion the cost of that purchase to the BioMSAR project is ludicrous to say the least and classic Brian ramping, the man has no shame!
They were purchasing the ships anyway, end of. Just so happens the ex maersk ship was one of them.

It’s biofuel so will be priced much closer to existing biofuels which are way above the IFO quoted prices.

QFI are supplying the fuel so I’d expect the mark up will be higher than the $ per tonne the licence agreement would offer.

However, I would think it will be priced conservatively to aid the trial decision making process.

People do love their conspiracy theories. However, I’m certain this one is a non-starter. QFI have no need to play such games and if they did, they’d surely find someone who could do it well.

I doubt they’d be trialed on the same ship, otherwise they’d have said so and the whole BioMSAR/msar testing would be easily resolved, which it hasn’t so what does that tell you?

To get a 4000 hour LONO you must burn the same fuel for the duration (apart from occasional use of standard fuel)

This LONO has clearly been about BioMSAR with a possibility of a LONO trial for msar afterwards, Jason has said so publicly.
So if it’s a BioMSAR trial, which it is, then it requires only one ship, same as msar did with maersk.

The ships plural comment is one only Jason can answer but sounds to me like wishful thinking.
A ship singular has been selected, now we await news of how the trial has changed shape and what that means for us.

So it’s bad to call out rampers? I think that shows exactly where you’re coming from Skeleton. Rampers only help short term traders so if you defend them then you might as well defend shorters. I defend neither.

As for others opinions. I enjoy reading the thoughts of people who can express an opinion without reverting to BS. However, when HF14 claims QFI have missed a fictitious IMC in early July I think it reasonable to be pulled up on that point and others, it works both ways.

The company should stand or fall on its own achievements and potential. Strange I know, but it’s how I view things, down the line as they say.

MSC already use biofuels widely in their vessels. This deal is between the shipper and a freight customer allowing them to claim lower carbon shipping. Absolutely nothing to do with fuel testing and tbh irrelevant to QFI.

Thanks. But I was asking what HF14 meant by his “early July” remark. I don’t recall any planned IMC for that period which is why I asked him to enlighten me. Anyone else know of plans for an IMC early July?
