I’m sure many others on this board have worked twice as hard as I have to get where they are also .

@earth I have worked 12hr shifts since I was 17 years old .
Done odd jobs , painting , decorating ,joinery on my weekends off. I taught myself a lot and have been doing up old houses on my days off .

Never been given anything and have worked damn hard to get to where I am .

I wouldn’t have assumed I deserved a £50 k a year job when I was 30 and have never thought I deserved anything I haven’t worked damn hard for.

You make your own path in life and I believe with hard work you will do the same .

This could be huge IF they get the pricing for the test right .

It might not be a problem for a wealthy family paying 10k for a weeks skiing in courchevlle paying an extra £400 per holiday for theses tests .

But it might dissuade the less well off from going to Benidorm for the week .

Just listened to that on radio 4 again hRtlebury .
It’s the false negatives it’s giving out with people that is the problem .
So student , younger family member takes test and thinks they are ok so visits mum/dad/granny and potentially passes on CV19 to them after thinking they are all clear .
Only PCR should be used going forward in this case .

That is unacceptable regarding missing false positives with the LFT. We all know these tests are not accurate enough to be rolled out yet .
Not until a minimum 99% S&S is achieved .

I actually think the penny has started to drop with the government too after boris’s speech last night .
He mentioned PCR first then NHS lab tests ( NCYT) .

. Which we have not cracked yet , but who knows what the team has up their sleeves .

I’m guessing the LFT are the not very good innova tests that the government have misguidedly bought loads of
. PCR will still be used to back these tests up , more than likely ours .
He probably isn’t going to advertise the fact that the LFT they have are not fit for purpose .

The mass testing in Liverpool has been using LFT these are not 100% accurate . I was reading about the hundreds of people who have no symptoms who are been classed as asymptomatic after receiving positive results .
Now are these people really asymptomatic and carrying CV19 or just going down as a positive case based on a faulty LFT that hasn’t been verified by a follow up PCR test.

In my opinion LFT shouldn’t be used until S&S levels are higher than 99% accurate .

After lab testing the next best test or best testing method if you do not have nearby access to a laboratory and need results in less than 90 minutes . Schools , care homes , airports , weddings , football matches etc .....which we excel at are the new “point of care or point of need tests “ (both the same , just used in different environments ) done or our q16 and q32 machines which I think will be game changing and really help in identifying whether you have covid or not .
