I have been here for several months now and have a holding of more than 11 million shares at an average price of just over 0.5p. I have really enjoyed the price rise of the last few days and look forward to more. But realistically how far can it go ? 5p ? 10p? 20p? 35p?
Our current Market cap at the price of 2.3 is £70 million. On this board I see estimates of 35p. which implies a Market Cap of well over £1 billion. How realistic is this? I appreciate that potential is important for a company like ours, but potential which does not ultimately lead to profit means little.
Most junior miners don't record a profit but the likes of BHP and Rio are at PE ratios of c 10. For us to have a market cap of £1 billion at a PE of 10 would represent a profit of £100 million pa.
Is this realistic? It seems very high to me but I don't know so am throwing this question open to people who know better than me. If an annual profit of £100 million is not achievable, what would be?
Please let me know if I am not looking at the valuation in the correct manner - or if there is a flaw in my logic.
