RE: Trades1 Feb 2020 01:25
Island, I saw a thing on the beeb about fishing. It seems quite a few fishing enterprises rely on smooth open trade with EU. Again yours is another area that I really hope they get worked out. However, given the numpties in charge I have serious concerns. I am not a zealot, but I couldn’t see any advantages in leaving, unless it’s things like; I don’t have to listen to ‘Brexit means Brexit’ put forward as being some kind of reasoned argument, or some 3rd generation unemployed erk with a fag on going on about sovereignty and their freedom. I just couldn’t find anyone that could explain to me how they would personally be better off. However, I can see how I personally and my family will be negatively affected, also the potential for serious harm to fishing, farming, manufacturing and finance industries. I have not seen any proposals how any of those things can be improved. I think the best they could come up with was how they perhaps could mitigate on some of the issues. Without any political feelings on the matter I considered it a matter of Occam’s razor indicating in was better than out. A lot of this is evidenced by the businesses that have now left the UK over this. Sorry to blather on, but I don’t like to hear of those, like yourself, having worked so hard for a long time to have such anxiety put to you because of something that I cannot make sense of. .... oh and as we now have £250 million a week extra why has Boris asked all govt depts to find 5% savings? I truly hope I am proved entirely wrong in my fears.
