Bob, yer probably already know. BSE is caused by prions which are proteins. Once they get anywhere you can’t get rid of them. The transmission was easy in the 80s whe the cow meat was in the food for the cows. But the prions would now be in the grass, soil and what have you. It might be that the prion agent is in most cows but as it’s st lower doses don’t show up or perhaps if the cows old old. But then again there’s susceptibility, I don’t think the exact epidemiology on infection in humans is fully understood and it could be down to certain genetics. Sheep get scrapey, which is more or less the same, they only eat grass, so it must come out in the Pooh too I suppose. All in all where man tampers with the natural order, good stuff turns to poison. My view is that God has sorted it all out and we just have to look, we have prepackaged food stuffs provided: apples, peaches, grapes, nuts all come with there own wrapping ready to eat. I have some questions about this; could it be the tin alone would pay off most of the loan, could it be the tungsten sales would generate income minus only production costs, could we call this left over money ‘ profit’ , do we have another 2 tungsten mining projects in Portugal, do we have a good prospect awaiting a JORC to confirm a larger resource. So many questions.

Your posts about this being a punt is at best a load of tosh, at worst a cynical post in an attempt to put people off. Most of the large holders here are not for selling( I base that on extrapolation of those I have met. I don’t think K3 is the backing down sort of guy, I don’t think C Scott mistaken to invest here, STV has been a self made individual, hbob is an intellectual, chaser is s shrewd fella, bob tree does extensive research, mr happy is very well informed etcetc. We and the others are invested here, we comment, we buy more when we can. You do not invest here, you do not post on other bbs, why come here and repeatedly try to be vexatious, and at repeatedly and sometimes at great length. It must be because your worried about us. Don’t worry most on here have been in the game a good while with all sorts of investments, we seem to be doing alright, so jog on.

Always sharp inmho. A simple man, deceptively so, be careful. Caring and reasonable, yet this is hidden beneath a cloak of the Northern working class persona. All the while shrewdly investing, if you want to get on, follow his investment advice. His gardening stuff is good too. In my simple way. If there is more money coming in than going out ( going out money including servicing a loan) then that’s a goer. If this is not the case, then every house buyer with a big mortgage is in peril. Carillion has huge debt and more money going out than coming in. I have had doings with Carillion last year and they were sinking by paying out more- a £148 million loss for the year. We will be on projected profit from production, that is after all costs. I would accept absolute proof of this can only be given after we are in full operation.

I would like to add, further to K3’s comments on MM’s ability. MM takes the time to explain to investors what is going ( either in groups or individually) on in terms of financial management. The approach to costs and quality ( and we shown the out comes of this)was transparent and clear for all to see. Costs are carefully controlled, any expenditure is carefully thought through and this includes the hiring of the workforce. The design and layout is excellent at la Parilla. Due diligence for the loan was extensive. I cannot see how this project could have been managed anymore competently. Congratulations should be given to MM and the team.

Jaf, far be it for me to get pedantic, but your inference is that we cannot be in profit from profuction if we have a loan. Operational profit whilst carrying a loan is common, I think that is why loans are given and has doings with getting paid back. As ever, I am a simple chap, with simple views. Over intepretation in minutiae is not my strong point. However, when I look at the available information, visit the site, meet the people, and interrogate about production and engineering ( fields I have some expertise in), I feel assured of future’profit’ . Taking into account the loan, it would not have got agreed on if there were not surety for repayment.
