RE: I think a takeover is in progress19 Jun 2021 16:20
Good afternoon Mafuta. Interesting points have been raised
Sareum as we know has
SDC1801 and SDC1803. Both look very favourable to say the least.
We also have a 27% interest in SRA737 ( of which we eagerly await news of further development)
Shelved at the moment is also Aurora +FLT3
How does Sareum individually price these potential block busters?
As sure as god made little apples there will be interested parties in 1801 and 1802. Tim stated there were parties interested in either 1801 and 1802 but not the both of them. The reason he gave was one would be of interest to oncology and the other immunotherapy and difficult to find a buyer for both. I would be of the opinion that the intersted companies at this time are not mammoth ie do not have billions of pounds of market cap.
At the moment we have 1801 coming up for entry onto Agile platform. Although no 100% guaranteed this should if all goes well lead to the trials being paid for by the platform. (the government are getting desperate and will throw any money they can to find a counter against the devastating financial impact of the Chinese Flu. ( As will be most non 3rd world governments)
How much is 1801 worth as a suitable treatment for Covid 19? Covid is not going anywhere soon. I would expect probably another 5 years at least, to be under a control with the world is back on a stable foothold ie little or no restrictions. The cost to the economy is phenomenal. In the US alone figures are costing 90% of GDP ie 90% of 13 trillion dollars. Dont get me wrong here. I am not suggesting that 1801 is or will be the only suitable treatment to become available.
1801 also has vast potential in many other applications, take sepsis for one example. How much is an effective treatment for that going to be valued at?
1802. again little to no tox indicative of an effective treatment for many forms of cancer. How much is this worth or more importantly, how much revenue can a pharma generate form this before a patent expires?
Aurora plus FLT3, Has very favourable ADME and low toxicity. Been shelved due to concentration of funds on developing Tyk2 and Jak1 inhibitor. How much is this worth? It was only the solubility issues ( I believe the formulation of crystalline compounds for which there will be a patent will go along way to resolving this issue).
For a company to take over the complete caboodle will run into the billions. As the hurdles and key milestones are met then so goes up the price, as consequently the risk factor is reduced.
Citizen79 posted with regards to CHK1. CHk1 i see as of no advantage on its own. Why you may ask. CHK1 blocks P53 from memory which prevents cell reproduction. In effect does not kill a cell. What it does do is in cell mitosis (the dividing of a cell) is stop cell reproduction. Hence when used in combo with a cancer killing agent, the subsequent stress replication blocking of the P53 stops cancer reproduction. Cancer cells do not have a p
