This dates back to circa 2013 a deal with Pronai Therapeutics ( now Sierra Oncology) Was due to continue development but have failed to do so by lack of funding by Sierra due to their commitment to press on with Momoletonib. Around August time last year they stopped development ( excellent results by the way), If pushed would mean they would have to hand it back to CPF lock stock and barrel with the loss of substantial time and costs associated with development to this stage.. Sierra were granted further time to 'explore options of continuing development; in (November last year) postulated by the more knowledgeable on here as being 12 month from date of signing (which they delayed as long as possible around 20th November).
No notification of continuing development which would trigger milestone payments have been made. I will add this below.

The point that should hace made the highlight is the confirmation of the down regulation of the cytokine storm, dose dependency and no increase in viral production.

Now maybe if they had put that at the top and given that emphasis then we would have been 14% up.

I would hazard a guess that it is likely the masks used over here will have been manufactured in India. If they can produce them in India will be far cheaper than being produced by Volz.
High demand and high ability manufacturing at a substantially reduced price of mask is major requirement.
I bought boxes of the mask for my own use. Far more effective than ordinary medical masks made in China. But they were a pound each. Comfortable, fairly good nose seal but a few of them and the elastic bands would come away from the mask. RMS masks good idea but suffered as they did not have a scooby about manufacturing.
There was no 5 million a month manufacturing over here. The more you can mass produce the cheaper the cost of each individual component. Machines take time to set up and wastage of time and materials takes place each time this happens. This is added to the cost. For what? Just to create a few thousand masks.

India should be able to produce much cheaper. No that is not correct. India will produce much cheaper and maintain standards.

Effectively should the P2F masks begin manufacturing in India then that will make them.
a. Very competitive
b. ability to manufacture for huge demand.

The basis of success which RMS lacked.

P2F masks I feel were a good idea. Down side was pi55 poor manufacturing, causing delays with the equivalent basically non existent marketing that had nothing to support. SP was over ramped and over priced.

It really does now come down to Covid being around for some time and with new and more infectious strains of Covid. India is a mighty market and RMS have down well to set up a partnership here and with a good marketing and manufacturing team should reap rewards. India will prefer to make their own superior quality approved mask than import cheap in effective masks from another country.

Development of filtration products incorporating nano technology (although in its very early stages ) will prove to be essential in the control of Covid 19 or any flu like pandemic and very likely to made compulsory in certain establishments.
ie hospitals and certain government establishments ( High Commissioners office top of the list I would guess)

It will take time but, I believe RMS are in a position to capitalise on the market requirements created by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Good afternoon SD. It may well be that Sareums crystallisation of a compound may have something to do with FLT3. Salt ( NaCl) for example is a crystal that is soluble. I dare say our compounds are somewhat a tad more complex than typical table salt NaCl. Solubility is of paramount importance with regards to uptake via the gastro intestinal tract of which we already know.. Very clever should they have achieved this, as of the opinion will apply to some extent to all our compounds as made up from similar but not identical molecular structures.

This I feel may be the main reason why Baricitinib cannot be used as a stand alone treatment. This does indicate tha SDC 1801 can be used on its own without an anti viral. In addition anti viral steroidial treatments cause problems of their own.

Good afternoon RMM. I recall some years ago circa 2013 a similar scenario involved with oncology contracts for supplying the NHS. Was done to prevent profiteering and greed as far as I can remember.

A solution to this may well be Sareum provides the funding for trials, The trials are then fast tracked. There are no price restrictions imposed as government have not financed. Now it would take considerably more than the 3.5 million we have at the moment. It would enable human phase 1 trial to start however.

Larger trials we would need finance maybe via partnership/license agreement or capital raise via HNWI's.

You get my drift on this, or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

I think Sareum are and have been aware of this situation and Agile found to be a little too restrictive. They have demonstrated their ability to raise circa 5 million funding ( correct me if I am wrong but would be achieved with take up of options) In this case Sareum, then become eligible for greater than 30 million funding,.

Interested to hear your view on this.

Baricitinib, I believe is circa 800 pound for a 28 day supply at one tablet per day, with the added benefit of knowing you are taking a medication with known serious side affects.

I am more than happy for Sareum to go ahead outside of Agile. There is of course the added complication that if price restricted over here, we would then be price restricted abroad.

I am not saying that sareum should or would ever charge as much as they think they could get. Can't be charging 1000's of pounds per treatment but at the same time not giving it away for next to nothing. How on Earth do we reach a price per tablet or per treatment?

We have a better profile than Denmaxathone as we are not an anti viral,and we are not expecting (as yet nothing to indicate any toxicity let alone serious) side affects.

I will add SDC1801 is and I will use the word 'potentially' a multibillion pound commodity.

Many obstacles have been encountered and overcome but we still have a couple of hurdles left.

Should results be less than what we expected we would know by now. Should the results prove far more promising, then SDC 1801 would potentially have significantly more financial worth, than if just treating the cytokine storm itself.

There exists Sareum and Pharma's and indeed discussions amongst thyem. The potential of SDC 1801 ( and its resultant financial worth) with respect to its application in Covid 19 will rely on:- how effective is the use of SDC1801 in all aspects of Covid 19.

As yet we do not know, as we have not been privelleged with data results. We have not trialled any humans. The full potential of 1801 may not be realised ( that will include us) and as yet certainly not proven . Winter will soon be upon us. Vaccines will help but, Covid hospitalisation increases will be a certainty.

As for the discussions. they must indeed be complex, and lengthy. Informal discussions we have no knowledge of content. Once formal communications are made then indeed we will all know. We are not just looking just here in the UK for its application, but also Europe, the USA and rest of the world.

We have a very good idea that it works but due to no info release we do not know the full extent.

I don't recall ever making a statement of a TYk2 inhaler being in existence, The only thing regarding inhalers I posted were regarding Synairgen and their Interferon inhaler. I am not sure what has become of this with regards to a potential treatment for Covid 19. i have my doubts on this. Inhalers are good for asthma , they can give instant relief (grey inhaler) and as a preventer (brown inhaler (steroid). Neither are of any use with regards to pneumonia or bronchitus or similar lung ailments and certainly would have noto very little impact with regards to Mild to severe Covid 19. The instant relief of asthma is available in tablet form and lasts longer.

That will certainly give BMS a headache. If not settled amicably soon, will cost millions and take an eternity to go through court. Inevitable delays and credibility damaged too!

Ndr50. can see no reason as to not use 1801 with an antiviral.
Good thing about 1801 as far as i can make out is for effective Inhibition of IL-6 two Janus kinases are required after phosphorylation. Jak 1 is required and another inhibitor of which Tyk 2 is far more selective and signals through a different pathway. from memory one is STAT 3 and the other is STAT5. All looks very good to me as have been saying for some months. However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and in this case human trials.

If found suitably effective and that would mean superiority to anything else out there at the moment, then I reckon that put us at a minimum market cap of 1 billion. Potentially worlds best treatment for Covid 19 just for a start. Sareum at the right place with the right compound at the right time.

The silence is deafening with regards to news around SDC 1801. Too quiet for nothing to be happening.. Am thinking if only slightly better than what there is out there, we would have news of Agile by now. It will go into trials, but as for the method of financing, I have no idea. I am firmly of the belief Sareum are in 100% control of that, ie they are the ones in the driving seat. The options open to Sareum must be endless.

Add on sepsis, ms, diabetes and a myriad of other targets. All molecules/compounds patented.

Have a go and put a price on it. Somewhere between 50p and 50 pounds in 2 months to 2 years. The price we put on a share is restricted by limitations of our own understandings.
