Trouble is that today maybe some people are taking weekly profits? (Monday morning they were 790)

Sold MCRO at 381. My thinking is that lots of little profits = bigger profit.

One of my criticisms of the IG platform has been addressed, they now include live prices on the 15se dealing ticket.

Bought MCRO again at 373 for 1.65% more shares and a nice recovery from my "mistaken" sale earlier.

Ha. What gains?, I am not making gains, not really. I have made some gains this tax year but they don't make up for the losses this year.
Just heard that NEXT are stopping their online delivery service. Not sure if ASOS are currently taking orders for home delivery.
I expect CCL to be heavily hedging their oil purchasing to recent oil prices so are ready to minimise their costs when things improve.

T. Agree with your strategy, would like to be in that position myself but as you know, I have too much various stock and can't bring myself to have a clear out.

ASC and CCL sounds like a good plan.
Holding some and trading some, like you mentioned with your MCRO is really how I got started with trading in tranches(meaning to hold some, trade some) but however well intentioned I start out, I inevitably end up trading all the tranches.
Funny fault on IG platform graphs, for CCL only on 3min display resolution, it freezes. Think I must report that, it is very odd.

Yes, looking back at the chart ASC are volatile and has my favourite feature: no stamp duty.
I thought CCL had flatlined for a moment there but it was my graph setting. I remember having CCL a few years back at more than £40 a share.

Bought back ASC but only for 1.45% more shares, at least it's a positive number

An interesting posting (of an email?) on the OCDO board this morning by nomlungu which is of interest to users and investors of OCDO

O: I have a feeling that investors are almost frightened of that day, that moment when everything goes up 25% or so because a cure, or way forward, has been found. Frightened of not being invested that is. Herd mentality I guess and I always think of the americans in particular as being more edgy more affected by things. I have forgotten the man's name, treacle knows it, the chap who alone predicted the 2008 downturn (crash?)...he suggests that market recovery from this virus problem won't be rapid, I think he said U shaped rather than V shaped which suggests we will be scraping along the bottom for some time with an ill defined minimum. Maybe people are rushing in to get ahead of the game to get the "best" price before the recovery. I think we haven't seen the bottom yet and these rallies are too soon. That doesn't mean of course that they can't be traded I suppose.

In fact I now have 10.6% fewer MCRO shares...previous weeks were not too good either!!
So, V, you are probably doing better than me on this share.

It's not just you that has happened to me repeatedly lately, especially with MCRO.
I think capital losses can be carried forward indefinately as long as you declare them first.

You did very well on Carnival. I need a share like that, perhaps they nearly all are at the moment.

Also, a little earlier I bought back into PLUS on their rise (on a spike!!!! remember Rule 1) but they continued up another 2%

I really must try and get back into MCRO, I sold (badly) at 347 on tuesday. I think my last 4 trades have all proved wrong and I am losing significant quantity of shares. If you are convinced Treacle that they will rise tomorrow, then I will try and get back in today.
Messed up on PLUS, sold earlier at 1006, then the ran up to 1040. Doh.
Not sure why OCDO are so low, need a little run up please if anyone is listening.
