have beeen watching FEVR but I cant decide if this is a spike? On a "normal" day I would say yes and sell. Today being yesterday's tomorrow so to speak, I just don't know

I am on the point of selling HUR on a peak again but am hesitating, not sure what is driving it up

I watch quite a few chat site boards because of my wide holding. Many of them scare me to death with the insults and abuse they hurl at each other, it's like a dog pit on some of them (never actually seen a dog pit by the way!). I am delighted with the curtesy shown on this OCDO chat board. I'm sure it is possible to hold differing opinions without insults

P.S. I currently have a limit sale on WJG at 257.5 (because I am greedy)

Another holding I'm monitoring closely is WJG, On a limit sale IG managed to sell about 8% of my holding for 256.5 Yes, I was probably being a bit greedy. If I had sold more, ideally all, I would have bought them back again this morning using the "Treacle System". But the confusion factor is the 5.6p? dividend which goes ex on thursday. Now I have held through the x dividend with this share before and it sometimes has no effect on the share price or a recovery within a few days. The share is more or less at an all time high and sometimes feels that from this giddy height the only way is down. Check with me on friday or say next monday or tuesday. I think it will come down to 247 on thursday and drift back up to 251 or 252. I'm already feeling nervous about putting a prediction down on paper. Oooh errr

I guess I am potentially trading 52 weeks a year, I used to set a figure of what I wanted to earn (sorry, I mean MAKE) in a week, It sort of worked out, obviously some weeks were below or zero and some above. It tended to tip me over the edge to selling something too early, especially thursdays and fridays.

I have 18 different holdings, of which 5 are AIM, 4 FTSE 100

I used to seek out volatile shares (I think somewhere there is a volatility index?) but I guess the advantage of having several shareholdings is that maybe at least one of them is having a big drop/rise. Must stress the massive disadvantage of action overload if several shares are jumping around at the same time, as yesterday for me. I certainly could have performed better with fewer shareholdings, even using Limit buy/sales

Yes, I am happy to be using your system, I have already resolved to try it for a week and then review it. I previously likened it to the compound effect of reinvesting divi income in buying more shares, I stick by that.
The change to my way of investing is affected though because previously I would bank profits (not proceeds from the sale) on share sales, then when I considered the banked total sufficiently large, I would buy another, possibly new to me, shareholding. The non-profit part I would usually use to buy the original company shares back on a shake. Sorry I am making a mess of this explanation, feel free to ignore it.

there, just bought HUR on a shake, I used the proceeds of the sale to buy more than the number of shares I sold, This is the first time!! I,ve ever bought a non round number of shares.

Nothing seems to be demanding my attention so I've ventured off piste and sold my HUR 30mins ago at 26.276 at what I considered to be a peak (oh dear, is that not the same as a spike) and now fondly await a shake. Maybe I will get breakfast before 11.30 today.

I can wait till 11h at least. By the way, my partner has pointed out to me that there are 6 recycling containers but 2 of them are every other week, this is up from 5 about 3 weeks ago and a redefinition of what goes in which box.

T. would you never consider buying in tranches so say buy some at 1310 then more (maybe) twice as many if it getsdown to 1300...
