Without any doubt manipulation as almost all the trades are from the existing IAs. However they have nowhere near enough to force a buy out. And someone has bought large amounts at 75 and 77. After the results fair value is above this and a buyout premium also should be paid. Its all very well manipulating the price by volume buys and sells. Its a totally different matter to get enough shareholders to accept a lowball offer. Id be very happy to let chris rigg continue to transform this conpamy.

Well done! A meagre 15% profit is netherless a profit. Im personally curious to see how rhis plays out. Clinigen is worth 10 times quantum so i can see thar a 2% rise in clinigen offsets a 4% fall in quantum. Its a dangerous game though. Anyone could be waiting to make a play here. If clinigen lose out here their price will most likely tumble. With those results our current price is easily supported. Weve grown revenue and cut out the loss making elements. Thats quite an achievement.

We will see. It may be easy to control the price here in limited volume. Its another matter to take 50% control or maybe more required for a takeover. If the profit if extrapolated into full year figures this is easily worth £1.20 to £1.50. The risk that these are the first figures after the restructuring is suppressing the price. It will only take a large buyer or another phamacutical company to see the value and this will shoot up. Time to wait and see. Will get an offer in 3 weeks if its coming. Then we will see what shateholders think.

A really strong set of results. Operating profit up 74%. It is obvious that this has been brought forwards to try and rebuff the buyout from clinigen. Will be a very interesting time ahead. The big boys will want a fair price for this if they sell.

I find the trading pattern really interesting. This is almost identical to just before the possible offer, with it sitting on a range, lots of visible sells, and a big buyer somewhere behind. Occasionally a PI does a buy that goes through. Looks a bit manipulated. How can so much get sold and yet the price stays the same, or even goes up slightly! Someone trying to encourage sellers perhaps? Anyway, am looking forward to the update tomorrow morning, as is everyone else here! Good luck.

Just look at the large trades in the last few days. All buys. As they say, follow the money. The big money frequently has information we don't. Regardless, very much looking forward to the Tuesday update. Reckon we should be on a minimum 25 PE for an aggressive takeover. The update will set the target price. This could even be on the low side because its only the first half year since the restructuring. The next 6 months will be even better.

Maybe not, but we will get the profit for the first 6 months. I reckon that this has been brought forward to set an expectation of price and as a defensive position from this BoD. They will want the highest possible price and I reckon would have a preference not to sell. Once the results are out for the full year this will soar by itself.

Just imagine what it would cost to try and accumulate over 50% of the shares. It would drive the price sky high. I had no intention of selling any until at least £1.50, and if the business was still growing nicely I wouldn't sell at that point. Most shareholders here will need an incentive to sell. Believe me.

Look at the final results from May. We had an EBITDA of £10.1m last year, with huge restructuring costs. We have cut out loss making business, and increased the revenue on non-loss making business. Margins are reported to have increased. I would expect EBITDA to be in excess of last year. Conservative estimate is £10m. We wont pay much tax either this year - if any, and debt is under half of last year. This company is now in great shape and doesn't need a predator. I'm guessing the BoD feel like that too. Chris Rigg wont want to sell when he's just setting the business up nicely. Hence IMO the offer will need to be decent. Clinigen need us far more than e need a takeover.

If they do make an offer it will have to be at a price that over 50% of shareholders will accept.

These are now overdue which is a little worrying

management have already said that they should have plugged the revenue gap after the reorganisation. We also took all the restructuring costs as a hit last year. So expecting around £90m again this year. However the big change is that the revenue is now at a high profit margin, so personally expecting over £10m profit this year before tax. Not expecting to pay much tax because of the loss last year, and debt has reduced so interest should be less than £1m. If that is the case that would fully support a price around £1.50, minimum.

yep, expecting between £1.20 and £1.50 However, I don't expect this to go over £1 until the offer is made, as there is always a small risk that they wont decide to proceed. If we don't get an offer I'm still expecting this to be over £1 by year end. However the possibility of not getting an offer is unlikely as this company is now in a shape that is such a good fit for Clinigen. It gives them a revenue stream on-tap, and expertise that has great synergy for them. The intellectual capital stored in Quantum is considerable. There is always now a possibility of another company coming in with a higher offer, and I could think of a few that may be interested. Interesting times ahead

Found some spare cash to do a little top up. Just irresistible. Clinigen share price has risen which is a very strong indicator that we are vastly undervalued. Having announced it I just cannot see them letting this go. They will need to make a very worthwhile offer to land this because our BoD have done the hard restructuring bit already. Anyway 28 days to possibly wait. Personally I'm just going to wait for the offer. The trading update at the end of August will be very interesting and should show us making a very healthy profit.

This share is 70% owned by institutional investors. They will be looking at a good return on an initial investment probably north of £1.30. The offer will not go through unless it's higher than that. Clingen will know that.

Shareholders will need to decide if the offer is acceptable. For an offer right now my target wold be around £1.30, but in reality this share will be worth far more in two years time

I also was waiting to top up when funds became available. However, the rabbit is now out of the hat and running. It should be noted that this is a recovery play. I personally see fair value being achieved at the end of 2018, when the reformed company has a chance to show 1. Revenue growth on the remaining business 2. That profit margins are going to be as good as stated 3. That new products are bought on-line to drive the growth However, the signs from the past 10 months have been excellent, so I have every hope of this exceeding £2 by that date. Time will tell, and I'm sure there will be plenty of trading opportunities here if that's the way you play it!

Someone is buying what they can at this price. Almost all the visible trades are sells yet the price rises? Still not sure why anyone is selling right now though.
