DFLynch, if it was one of your close relatives, who were one of those who had died would you have said the same. The only reason figures are down are that we have had lockdowns. If we had led a normal life figures would have been even worse.

Don't underplay this because complacency leads to mass increase in cases and deaths. And the mere fact that there are less people under 60 who have died, so what. The retirement age is now 66 shortly to go to 67 and there are a lot of health people over that age.

God knows how many people would have died if we had just been allowed to do what we were. As soon as pubs were opened again, cases shot up. We need as many people as possible to have the vaccination, and then hope it works to eradicate as much as possible this deadly disease.

Maslovskiy is suspected of embezzling at least 95 million roubles ($1.3 million) from Petropavlovsk's Pokrovsky mine subsidiary, Interfax quoted an unnamed source as saying. ($1 = 73.8850 roubles)

petra53, you ask me a question, I will answer it. Very simple NO. Pavel himself would probably say it wasn't his fault, it was the bondholders who held him to ransom, I would say, well thats your bloody fault as well because it was your bondholders.

Pavel would say that the company only exists as he underwrote the rights issue, I would say that well thats clouded in mystery du to the put and call options both he and Peter had.

Curlykev, not always the case, as sometimes things change, other times sales profits, etc are overstated if you look at Blinkx over the years we bought a multitude of new companies, we had the so called "experts" who would give us there great advice.

Its all relative. As for bonuses. I have already stated and will repeat, I have no problem with bonuses which are EARNED, and have targets including profit, production debt reduction etc.

What I do not like to see is people rewarded for failure. i.e just having to beat a specific index which means you could actually be rewarded if you do better than others even if they have done badly. ( The first comment on pavel, was tongue in cheek, ) I will continue with my stance on the jury is out until I see proof that the new CEO is actually moving the company forward. Personally I think there could have been clearer communication from the company.

Freddie2 I can't disagree with facts. But, GGP is years away from production, it has all the sheep there, it can go down quickly as it goes up , In my opinion overhyped and overvalued, anyone in it and making profit well done.

As for our bod, the jury is out, I personally don't think they have had enough time, but I do feel that thy could communicate better. It will be an interesting comparison to see whee the respective share prices of POG and GGP are when POG ISSUES NEXT RESUTS.

Update on the Proposed Exercise of an Option to Purchase 25 Percent of Temi
Further to the announcement made on 16 April 2020, Petropavlovsk PLC (the "Company'") announces that the Company held the adjourned General Meeting today to consider two Resolutions whereby the Company would exercise an option agreement to purchase 25% of TEMI LLC as detailed in the Company's Circular to Shareholders dated 27 March 2020. Subject to shareholder approval, the Company has the right to complete the purchase both in cash and in shares.
Since the decision to seek shareholder approval on exercising the option was taken, market conditions have altered significantly as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Company's share price is currently at a level which is more than 40% higher than the price of £0.179 per new Ordinary Share agreed with the vendor, Agestinia Trading Limited. In the current volatile environment the Company is focusing on ensuring a continuing satisfactory liquidity position.
In these changed circumstances the Board of Directors understands the lack of majority support from shareholders for the exercise of the option agreement on its current terms. The Board accordingly announced at today's General Meeting that it was withdrawing the two Resolutions.
The Company has until 21 May 2021 to exercise the option and the Board and Management will review the possibility of exercising the option over the year ahead, in the light of future market conditions and in the interest of shareholders.
