RE: Pavel In Court Today21 Feb 2021 10:36
Lawrence13, Maybe, just maybe, there is some truth in this, and they are looking to protect their investment ??
Now I do not know all the ins and outs of this case, but this is not the first time Pavel has been accused of wrongdoings. I remember during one of the bond offerings he was accused of trying to get a higher bond coupon rate and in turn getting paid a lump sum personally for doing this.
No doubt in my mind as well, that as well as being partly responsible for managing us into a rights issue at a ridiculous price, he and Peter were probably well paid for "supposedly" underwriting the issue. What they failed to advise it was not their money it was borrowed money, and they both took out put and call options.
Peter gambled, on the gold price previously and lost. I wonder if, he hadn't lost on that bet, and he still had a sizeable stake, whether he would have allowed the company to get into the state it did.
Benefit of hindsight is a wonderful thing, when the company was flourishing, paying dividends, and close to the FTSE 100, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE TIME TO HAVE THE RIGHTS ISSUE, and the fact that it was to build a pox hub, would, in my opinion, have been well received. We could have raised enough money to build the pox hub, and not even get into the situation with the convertible bonds.
The mere fact that the bondholders supposedly forced the companies hands, was a position we allowed ourselves to get into by issuing them in the first place.
So let justice prevail. If he is innocent, then free him, if he is found guilty then he deserves everything that he has coming to him.
If I had a property worth £300000 and I was able to con someone into paying £1m for it, by foul means, I would be punished. If Pavel has done similar, then he deserves the punishment that is coming.
Judging by the time it is taking to complete this investigation, with a deathly silence, I wonder if anything else comes to light. Neither of this is doing POG any good, All, My Opinion.
