Lawrence13, you are right in the respect that many times Retired Banker did refer to IRC as a basket case, he also said he would give it away for nothing, to be relieved of the obligation on the debt.
As for Hambro turning IRC around, some of the turnaround initially was down to "creative accounting " they were not "real profits" the real turnaround was when the iron ore price increased, which incidentally had nothing whatsoever to do with Peter being at the helm.
Lawrence13 I disagreed with the sale of IRC and posted numerous times about this.
Just remember Curly Kev, the directors have a boatload of shares, and I think they will want to squeeze every last penny out of the share so I think any low ball offer, would be rejected out of hand. My opinion only.
Lawrence13 has been on this board for a decade, others on here are pure speculators. Lawrence13 has forgotten more about POg than some of you even know.
That is fact, as I have dialogued with him over this time. All this talk of alter ego, is just like some of the posts on here at the moment. Ridiculous.
Its like one flew over the cuckoos nest, The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
i WISH i HAD A CRYSTAL BALL, BECAUSE THE WATER IS CLEAR AS MUD, I DONT THINK THE DEFAULT ON PAYING THE BONDHOLDERS IS MAJOR, BECAUSE i SEE NO VALUE WHATSOEVER, IN BONDHOLDERS DOING ANYTHING, THEY NEED TO SIT TIGHT, AND HOPE, THAT THE WAR STOPS, some, SANCTIONS ARE LIFTED AND THEY CAN THEN START SELLING GOLD ELSEWHERE AND PAYING THE BONDHOLDERS THE INTEREST OWED, PLUS INTERESTE on the interest owed. We are still ining gold, so if sanctions were lifted we would then just do what we used to do, Give gazprombank gold.
I wish I was a fly on the wall and knew what the BOD WERE TRYING TO DO ?? iF ANYTHING. Sorry for capitals at work, and didnt want to try and re-do.
There is such a load of s..t been spouted on this board.
People who know absolutely NOTHING, People who say they KNOW what is going to happen.
The reality is you have not got a clue, if this goes belly up the bond holders get first call after creditors, shareholders will get NOTHING, I hope this does not happen as I have a large shareholding although it is worth considerably less now.
I just hope something can get sorted out in Ukraine to allow this to have a future, but, Im not sure the BOD ARE FOCUSSED ON TRYING TO DO THAT.
They should be looking at ALL, possible options. Very very high risk, as could all be wiped out, but, if they can fing a solution, they do mine GOLD.
Looking at the recommends of the post it looks like others endorse your opinion, as I do, THANK YOU SNN
Hi gdog, still here, just didnt think I had anything meaningful to add to the interesting conversations already posted. All the best.
Main difference with this company, is this company mines Gold and has been established for decades, It makes profits, and has the POX HUB.
If the Russians stop battering Ukraine it will increase tenfold. If it doesnt, then there are MAJOR, problems.
Question is can POG survive and prosper ??
I dont find it funny at all. And I dont need you or anyone else to tell me what my average is. I would suggest the majority of holders in Tremor do not have averages of £1.50.
I appreciate you might be answering someone, but as I have them filtered, saves me the abject misery, of reading their crap.
Speak for yourself, How do you know how much peoples averages are, Mine certainly is not.
In my opinion, for what its worth, the share price always seems to be depressed when Tosca are increasing. Coupled this with the share buybacks, you would have thought the price would go up. But it seems to me that Tosca have the ability to help to keep the share price depressed whilst they add.
I have said many times, longer term the price will have to react to the profits.
Its amazing Blinkx went up massively on a wing and a prayer, without making profits, Fast forward to a company that is actually making profits, and is actually less market value than blnx.
They are not buying in 2500 and 5000, this is a share buy back its different, And I beg to differ that its "easy" to buy large amounts.
If it was I am sure they would be doing it, it would not surprise me if they did not spend all the allocated money for buy backs.
Jsb1989 if it was easy to purchase millions of shares they would have done so, in order to buy, someone needs to sell and the company themselves have said it is illiquid. !!!!
We are not spending money trying to defend the SP, we are buying back shares to take out of circulation and have less shares available. if the price drops we can buy more, but the company are not buying millions of shares per day, so that suggests not a lot available.
As they are put in Treasury, they can still be used at a later date to help with future purposes.
But, if there are no companies available at a decent price, its no use doing nothing with the money.
Share buybacks, when the price is low ( as most people seem to think it is ) is a great way of using the money.
Fast forward 2 years and lets see where the share price is then !!!
Doesnt matter what STIT says or does, if the company produce the results the rest will follow.
Sharenicelynow, I have to disagree with your assumption, because "treasury shares " have often been used for takeovers when part of the price is used as shares. The earnings per share increases when there are less shares in issue.
Malbright06, sorry at work, and didnt see the end of your post. I dont know about a disaster, as there have been many ups and downs, but the Nasdaq listing certainly has not had the effect some people on here thought it would.
There is time yet, and you can bet your bottom dollars the BOD, would like as much as possible from their FREEBIES.
Malbright06, whilst agreeing with what you say, there is nothing to stop companies such as Tosca, holding shares and ADRS. I have for a long time, believed that TOSCA, dfo "play" this share, although I could be wrong.
Blackrock, also have a history of shorting, and I believe, they have the opportunity to buy both here and in the US,
As, I have said before and I repeat, as long as we are buying back shares at a price lower, that they are in the future that is fine. I do remember a number of years ago, when they bought a lot of shares that were put into treasury, at much lower rates than are offer now.
If the results are in line, or above, the growth in share price will come.
Its working out very nicely for shorters in USA they push the price up, finncap buy i.e yesterday 273000 @621 then they take it down on the Nasdaq, buy there amount, then sell it back to Tremor and Finncapp the next day in London at a higher price.
At the end of the day, longer term, hopefully, they are actually doing us a favour by keeping the price lower, ( if the price rises significantly longer term )
Thats the plan anyway
