DG. Is that the short position you've opened by any chance???
Aandi. Reading between the lines it looks like GE decided to withdraw from the gasification market. Is there anything in the older North Fork meeting minutes that sheds any light on this? In any event, they picked up Eqtec very quickly which must show a confidence in the technology.
I read somewhere that GE sold their tech to Air Products. Maybe that caused the change? Not sure if anyone else knows.
Do you have the web link to the German exchange for Eqtec?
Make it so! Was a reply to Jean Luc Picard's prediction. Sounded funnier in my head...
I'll get my coat... :-)
Make it so!
There's a chance these people either have or know people who might want to short the stock for their own gain. See if they continue with their antics the next few days...
Lol. Not quite unrelated... talking about CGT implications on the back of this share growth! Apologies for setting a few hares running ;-)
That makes more sense. You can't decide to move your shares which have gained in a trading account into the ISA without potentially realising the CGT liability. You only benefit from any rise within the ISA from the point that you have re-purchased the shares in the ISA. Is that right?
Thanks Aandi. Am I right in thinking that I cannot transfer shares into an ISA?
Thanks. One question - if I set up a SIPP and want to transfer shares in do I have to pay CGT on the transfer?
Morning guys - great news today! Following the steady rise here just wondering whether anyone has an opinion on the impact on the potential new UK CGT proposals for 2021 and share sales. If you're not invested in an ISA will there be temptation to sell shares prior to any changes coming in?
My shares are not in an ISA.
That sounds like a good summary of this company David. It also looks like there were a lot of liabilities (debt primarily) that were built up trying to keep the company afloat in the last few years. Commercialisation of tech is difficult and often deep pockets are required to get there. The Spanish reference plant certainly helps... do we know how the other plants that have been built are performing?
DP certainly seems to have regained investor confidence and the future looks bright. Glad I got in before the recent rise that's for sure!
Thanks for your thoughts Aim. Can I ask what makes you believe Billingham is in the bag? From what research I've been doing the build costs is going to be north of 150 million which appears a lot bigger than Greece or North Fork or other projects they've done before. That's a lot of money to find?
Be very happy if it does fly though :-)
Hi all. I have a holding in this share and have been watching you guys chatting about the company on here for a while. I've created an account as LSE has stopped anyone without one from viewing the chat... so thought I would pop in and say hello. I hope everyone's investment works out. ATB
