As onlookers to whats going on at avacta it seems that these massive orders by the uk gov (£116m on just funnels !!) are most def on behalf of small companies. Al and his £10m will of gone nowhere in sourcing any products ?. This makes me believe he has no idea as to costings etc when he talks of his ambitious statements. However we all have faults and maybe thats his. Still hoping to be part of tender award tomoz and our ever increasing 4% rns re anything positive (s/s figures, lft clinical trials, bams trial results....anything !!) Still all in and december is now here. Come on al, give us some xmas cheer.

I just wonder if this publicity that sheff council are now putting on gov with innovas lft may well see the end of our chinese guest and make way for the uk test (s) that boris has opened the door for. Lets hope al dusn’t get it shut in his face as gov are fed up waiting for him to furnish avacta towers.

Massive week ahead for al and avacta and us. We should hear if we are to benefit from the tender (hopefully we tendered !!) and news on bams. Fingers crossed as we need to be in the mix with all whats happening with testing at the mo.

What we have here reminds me of someone i dealt with 30 years ago. I was suckered in with promises i believed to be true. A year later i had lost £40k. He went on to have a lavish lifestyle. While ime not broke i fear for some reason deep in my gut that al may not deliver on his promises. I hope its not deja vu. I know obviously of all the promises to shareholders that al has broken but we still hang on in there as ‘our dream’ may be around the corner. However as another week passes, here cometh december and our once exclusive product is now one of many. So much so we now have to submit a tender. If we miss this one i fear how many will be in contention for the next tender. As we miss all these deadlines those massive share price immaginary figures start to disappear and a more realistic figure takes their place. Yet for al and his company its produced massive income the likes of which he couldn’t of dreamt of. Its NOW time for al to deliver. And why we all moan of these ‘inferior’ tests on the market It is they who currently are pocketing millions. Als dream from march has yet to be realised in any form whatsoever and his ‘soon’ ‘next few weeks’ and similar comments are reminding me of someone i met 30 yrs ago. Please al come good next week as many here are all behind you.........but.
Ps. Yes i am only in this for the covid. And not ashamed to say it. Al wasn’t afraid to take £50m either.

I bought shares in avacta on the back of a friend thinking it was a good investment.
After listening and watching alastair early in the year with his boasting of ‘next few weeks’ and ‘very soon’ remarks i invested more (yes mostly on lft and less on cancer).
We all waited and waited and yes over those months it went up and down on what appeared to be positive rns’s. However as time went by we still stuck with alastair (because you buy the person and not the company) believing he would come good on his product (lft). As the summer came and went a few doubts started to appear, but we still hung on in there to alastairs remarks and saying shareholders are one of his priorities. Then my doubts (like others) he sold shares at that time at their peak of circa £1.80. Then to my astonishment he released a video about how he saw avacta as big as other pharmas including roche. Massive statement to make and massive boots to fill, and to some very arrogant comments. My judgement on him has changed and i fear that the market has lost some confidence in him because of false promises. I believe It will now take nothing but very positive rns’s to move this share.
Lets hope his tender is accepted by hmg (thats if we have tendered). Otherwise we will be into winter with no lft. Lets hope bams will pull through but i do feel we are in the hands of a man who has not fulfilled what he promised so far. Of course this may change but as of today at 10:10 that is where we are. Still hopefull and not sold !!!

I agree mowzer. I think what is disappointing is that we had the ferrari 6 months ago and were lapping the field and had the finishing line and flag in sight, but unfortunately weve had a couple of blowouts on the home straight and been overtaken. Lets hope the mechanics (bbi) can push us over the line. Ime all in on this though and lets hope al and team can sort it out.

It’s my belief that the saliva test has failed, but to save face alastair will be pushing ahead (blindly and knowingly !!)with it because the consequences would be harmful to him and avacta (reputation).
Again only my reasoning (after 6 months trying) is that you won’t hear much about saliva anymore and concentration will be on swab. Look guys i hope i am terribly wrong and alastair can do it but my gut says nope. Anyway rock on bams and lets hope next rns is positive and share price rises to somewhere near als cash in.

I feel he has lied. There you go, i’ve said it. What other conclusion can you come to ?
£100 k investment on the back of a very confident ceo. From launching in june and then selling shares at £1.80 to now a nose swab. Yes dress it up all you want and try and still give us all hope that its still going to happen ? It was happening months ago. We are all getting excited thinking we are getting next tranche of government coontracts/tenders yet we got nowt. Please tell me i am wrong, but please evidence not heresay. Al has misled many on here and the praise and the criticism lies on his shoulders. He has no remorse whatsoever and thats a bad thing. No empathy for shareholders which at the moment surely looks like we have been had. Raising £50m on the back of lft to be launched ‘in the next few weeks ‘. Tut tut very poor. Yes i am cheesed off and yes i apologise in advance for all the long term holders and anyone else i am upsetting but from being a very positive avacta holder i am now very negative. I have tried to bear with alastair through this year but especially watching his very poor video performance this morning trying to crawl out of his saliva into nasal i felt he looked a beaten man. Obviously i want avacta to succeed with my investment but as each week goes by i think its shrinking. Wish i could of sold at £1.80 but didnt have the knowhow that maybe somebody else had. I know i have said a few strong words there but i believe nothing that a reasonable person wouldn’t think. Remember the words ‘a few weeks’. Al may have egg on his face but in a court of law it might be more than an egg.

The silly twitter that avacta put out ramping what they had and how avacta would be the size of roche was extremely brave at the time, but now a few weeks later seems comical. What is happening with al ? Lets hope this magician can pull a rabbit out his hat very soon to be part of moonshot. I am praying .

I think we have to accept (after 6 months trying) that the saliva based on affimer has failed. Al wouldn’t have now moved to nasal (and done a twitter video on it an hour or so ago) if there was a chance of saliva working. I am sure he is still trying but ob he has problems with it. I am still all in with this company but he must of known about the fail of saliva a while ago (share sale naughty naughty) and most def this update is well late as twitter positive updates mean absolutely nothing for factual based investors. Once again in his rns there are no official timescales other than in due course. I remember his webinar when he laughed at the lady questioner asking him would it be ready for xmas ?. Tut tut alastair. Lets hope for positive news re bams ‘any day’.
