The question investors should ask themselves (after reading all the drivel on the BB). If Carlyle has made a serious approach to buy Metro Bank at what price do they realistically think they can get Metro for. Definitely not £1.35 or £1.58. I reckon major shareholders would not even consider less than £1.80 but could be around £2.5.

And Banbury will definitely increase my holding in Saga once I sell my Metro. Assuming Saga stays below 320p.
Still plenty of juice in Metro if you guys want to get in as price at the moment still very low

Cheers Banbury. Yes even at current SP £1.4 it is a bargain if a bid goes through reckon it will be at least £1.8.

When I look at the cruises they all seem well booked (around 80%). So this is just a waiting game.
However will take a hit if any more covid restrictions happen.
In other news my holding in Metro Bank has just rocketed netting me a small fortune ;)

add £140m to £370m

Divide this by the number of shares now (139,594,769) which is £xxx

Only kidding dont want anyone getting offended. Anyway Rogue how do you feel about your Saga holding. I really do hope this marketing bears fruit though

Just if I was over 50 and called a classic or experienced I would just hear old but that is me and I would find it patronising.
If it was more in the vain of your over 50 but you can still have fun and do adventurous things etc I would feel like my mood had been lifted. I also did not like the classic car taking 2 attempts to start up definitely thought if I was old then not everything is working properly or at 100%. Maybe I will feel different when I am over 50 so will leave it to your judgement.

I stand corrected then but I am not over 50. I would have prefered to see someone still hot for their age (Monica Bellucci or Heather Graham etc) who is over 50 having a fun time on a saga cruise ship or benefitting from an insurance claim etc. But as I said I am not in that age group so I will leave it to your judgement. Let's hope it drives Saga sales anyway
