And yet, as has been typical of late, the gains it rightfully made yesterday following these fantastic results which exceeded expectations are all but being wiped out by profit taking today. For now the shorts appear to be winning with this share but patience will pay dividends in the long run. This is a great business.

Entirely agree VP. This should be back closer to where it was last summer. They are fabulous at acquiring and integrating businesses and it's clear from this morning's presentation that they intend to keep doing so whilst keeping gearing to within their disciplined 1-2% range.

I would hope that we may see an Aim bounce once the shares are listed on the Aim market from 31/3/25 onwards. It should certainly reduce costs and, over time, give management more time to develop and grow the business rather than dealing with the regulatory and administrative burden of a company listed on the main market.

Looking forward to hearing the final year results tomorrow mornings and to getting an update on trading for the early part of 2025. This company is undervalued. Hopefully tomorrow will provide some information that might help the share price recover closer to the level it should be trading at.

Dartron - have you exited because of the increased shorts position? I must admit I find getting information on Ashtead tech and what is influencing the share price very difficult outwith their trading updates. All the public info I have points to this being a very solids business delivering on their strategy. The analysts suggest this is the case also. Yet, the shorts suggest otherwise. For now I have held on although may exit if little changes after the results next week.

There has been some discussion about the potential for the US economy to enter recession this year. Some forecasts point to a contraction in q1 US GDP of c. 2.5%. Whilst audioboom has done much to mitigate significant drops in Ad spend following 2022/23 I can’t help but think that forecast ad revenues for 2025 may well be hit by what seems to be a significant loss of consumer confidence in the last few months and a contracting economy. The rate of growth in podcast advertising is also slowing. I’d welcome thoughts from other Boomers. The forthcoming results update will be very interesting.

LL - respect your views on this which you’ve made a number of times now. I’m with Wigwammer on this. The market will have priced in the impact of the warrants. Not long to wait now so let’s just be patient and see what happens rather than continue to repeat the same point.

How can this share open trading today at 300p, close with a share price of 305p yet be shown as down 20p?!

Bombedel - An update from Simon Thompson of IC today seems to support your hypothesis that there may have been some 'forced sales' from investors that could not hold the shares within their SIPP with the company having moved off the main market and the shares effectively being deemed 'unlisted'. I do wonder if they might get a reciprocal bounce once listed on Aim from funds that focus on the Aim market buying into the fund?

Trading update for final year must be due in the next 2-3 weeks (last year was 4th April). We will have a much better feel for where the businesses at then. I expect strong set of results with debt continuing to reduce at pace, strong cash generation and a strong order book. It will also be interesting to see if they announce what they wish to do with the cash being generated and whether they want to introduce a dividend, as has been mooted, or expand their fleet of vessels.

A welcome recovery on these today after a surprising drop in recent weeks.

I note on LinedIn that Transense's new torque calibration rigs has arrived. This is a £200k investment - part of the £3m investment in SAW announced recently. The LinkedIn post notes:

"Our new fully automated calibration system, developed with D2H Advanced Technologies, has arrived and is going to revolutionise our torque sensor calibration. 🤩

This £200k rig, part of a £3M SAWsense investment, doubles our capacity while ensuring accuracy up to 2,500 Nm across extreme temperatures".

On the flip side, once on Aim, it may fall into the scope and attention of funds that focus on that market.

I had t considered that, Bodembel, but I guess it’s possible and a potential reason for the otherwise strange drop in sp.

Simon Thompson set out a strong case for Creightons as part of his bargain shares selection this year in Feb. He projected the sp would double (from a baseline of approx 30-32p, if I recall) with the business having recovered from a couple of poor takeover decisions and having since tidied up and strengthened the balance sheet. This is one of those selections that has taken a bit of a hit since but the case remains sound and I will remain patient for the recovery.
