Looking good here for capital growth 2nd half 2013 and into 2014 IMO, and 3.5%+ divi. Can't complain. Keeping on topping up regularly, not trying to time the dips, I'm an amateur and the pros get it wrong all the time :-) JP

I would consider it myself when there's an answer to the Pakrut mine completion open issue. The annopuncement was to be "in due course" but that was 4+ months ago. Of course "in due course" isn't a timeframe, but it's been too long IMO. From RNS; Construction operations at Pakrut, which are in their early stages, are ongoing but delays have been experienced. The Company retains full confidence in the project construction and potential and will advise a new target date for the completion of construction and commencement of gold production at Pakrut in due course

Very disappointing how this has under-performaed the Thai SET in the last month or so. I can only hope that this significant deviation is maintained once the SET turns upwards, but of course exaggerating the rise. 6.5% down today when the SET is down less than 2% .... The historical deviation suggests that ANW should track the index with a much lower variance. I wouldn't mind an explanation for this from Aberdeen. On a positive note the discount to NAV is now north of 20%.

I think the fact that the Chinese Directors graced the AGM with their presence and Ms Ye took and active role was extremely encouraging. According to the guys on iii, DS was their too and expressed his support of the new Bod and strategy, and the implementation strategy for Namib is clear now. Also reported that MF is managing expectations on the likelihood of an early start to production .. although we would alll like to see mining and sales in 2013, it is nevertheless encouraging that MF is not going to be over-promising and under-delivering. He says (as reported by PIs who attended) that there is a small chance of tailings being processed. Our Chineses Board members would not be so associated with the company if they didn't want to seriously see this though to success, whatever form that may take.
