To be fair the biggest buy was only about 2,000GBP which is in easy punt territory for a lot of traders. Not knocking it and I'm happy it's up, but most buys are a few hundred quid to be honest. When the big players come in you'll see 10-20k GBP trades. For that we'll need the license IMO
You have been proved right already. JP
Well that certainly was a conversation killer, myshare2477
I'm starting to sense a bottom here at 51-53p. Fingers crossed the sentiment has turned.
Yes of course a competent BoD would have thoroughly researched the requirements and be prepared to respond quickly and completely. Let's expect that, it should be the very least we can expect from our company's appointed leaders and managers. I am rating this a BUY for newcomers but personally I'm already overweight in NRRP in my portfolio and I intend to stick to my own rules on % distribution in the p/f.
This from MD suggests that the terms and conditions were not anticipated, and therefore couöld not be already defined. This si n doubt why the sp is sliding again. "....represents an important first step towards the issue of the Mining Licence for Namib. We now look forward to defining and agreeing the final terms and conditions with all concerned stakeholders."
About 23% better off, sounds about right. Sorry for blathering on the board - this is the most excitement around here for the 4 years I've been on here. Give me some slack please guys!
NRRP is in a much better place today than yesterday, that's for sure.
Yes agreed, Shadoww. I hope we can maintain a strong hand at the table over the next few months. If the conditions were not a surprise (I would have thought they are standard) then we should be pre-prepared ourselves (NRRP) to address all the topics satisfactorily, get the license, decide to invest in the mine (is that really an open question after all these years thinking about it?) and proceed to build and exploitation of the resource. Guesses - 1p on license, 2p on off-take agreements, 2.5p on mining and selling our goods.
Not a mad rush to buy NRRP today. We need the license granted. Faith has to be earned. No mention of how long it takes to actually issue the license? Recommend; top up cautiously!
Funny enough I was thinking this morning - when do I get to write BOOOOM?
Lets not miss the dead lines BoD. Be fully prepared NRRP and don't f this up now.
RNS - positive news. North River Resources plc, the AIM quoted resource company, advises it has received from the Ministry of Mines and Energy ("Ministry") in Namibia a Notice of Preparedness to Grant the mining licence ("Notice") for the Namib Lead-Zinc Project ("Namib" or the "Project"). The Notice is dated 28 January 2016.
I couldn't agree more Appleby. I think the same about this BCRI's cousin's BRWM & BRFI. Buy now, very happy in 5-10 years.
All good spottedlurcher, thanks for asking. I hope all well with you too. Lost a few bob over the last few weeks on paper, but still doggedly building my portfolio. BRCI, BRFI, CTY, SOI, BRWM for the Investment Trusts and a good balanced smattering of Mutual Funds from Jupiter and Invesco with focus on high income British and European markets. Have a prosperous 2016!
If there IS a reason for the rise (ie licence) than I guess they have to deal with the leaky persons quickly too. Look out for a firing? Its called insider trading isn't it and it's illegal isn't it?

Certainly going to attract day traders, that's a given ...
