My boss always tells me that "hope is not a strategy". This is an exciting opportunity for Paragon and is the next important step (following the previous acquisition of the shareholding in Greenstar) in the development in West Africa of what the board of directors of Paragon (the "Board") hopes will grow into a major agricultural business. Paragon hopes that this is the first step in developing a deeper relationship with PVL, alongside the acquisition of other businesses and investments as the Board implements the Company's investing strategy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You don't see the Board of a great company using words like "hope" in an RNS.

Hi sence2. Realistically, how many PIs are in profit, in order to take profit? When the sp was stuck under 8p-ish there were very few trades, and it spiked so quickly, in a few hours, how many PIs got in between 7p and 10p? I would guess very few (I haven't checked number of shares bought etc, no time), but the the spike was so sharp I would summise that there are precious few PIs today with the luxury of taking profit at 10.5p nevermind lower. Thoughts? Cheers, JP

Hi Warren22, you have changed your tune vs. your post at 15.37 on Sunday, and for the better. Buying at 10p is right up my street too. Surely the April announcement will be predictably positive - a slow first half, a good second half, optimistic future statement from the new MD. Having said that, oddly, I don't think the new expectations that we all on this board seem to share are at all factored into the current SP. I can only re-iterate my opinion - that there is very little downside risk from 10p, and an upside shot of a 2.5 to 3.0 bagger from 10p. The question for me is - buy now or wait to see if I can get under 10p?? Decisions, decisions ... :-)

Let me re-post my message from Sunday afternoon, not to be a smartarse, but this was on the cards IMO. Pommefrite, I personally don't see the sp going back down to 7p. Acquisition of interest in Paragon Volta Limited RNS - action! Paragon, the AIM-listed agricultural investing company (AIM: PAR), is pleased to announce that, it has today acquired an initial 10% shareholding in Paragon Volta Limited ("PVL") and is in the process of finalising for PVL a 44 year sub lease over 5,000 hectares of irrigable land close to the River Volta in Ghana from an existing lease over a much larger farm land estate connected to the vendor (the "Investment"). This is an important strategic step in the implementation of its investment policy in African agriculture.

"Life is what we make it" you say. So right. Perversely perhaps you, and certainly Seatrout, are dependent on the success of PAR. We know that from Seatrout's very emotional rant just a few months ago when I was really worried for him. It was getting to him, the stress of it all. Don't make your life dependent on a single bunch of strangers (BoD of PAR). Seatrout, I saw you visited BAO the other day. I hope this is a sign of a willingness to diversify out of here. IMO, BAO is an ok risk though financing remains a hurdle and the area is politically unstable. I wish you all the best but I do see signs of recklessness ..... Bravado has no place in investment decisions. JP

Share price - 20-25p IMO, but could be 6 months. Personally I will buy at 10p but happy to wait as I would like A couple of my other investments to provide me the funds! The consistent seller(s) have held the sp back over the last many months, and if the selling finishes at the same time as the DFS news hits then we are going to be shooting up. Really, we should be at 1.5p+ today as our preDFS baseline price. Disappointing but it is what it is. The more gin I drink the more I reflect on the readiness of the driller to take equity as payment. The DRILLER for gawd's sake! Yes the guy who males the holes in the ground and cleans the drill. The rugby was good wasn't it? All I need is for my beloved Liverpool FC to beat the Swans tomorrow and I have an almost perfect weekend. BTW for those who drink Gin, try "Monkey 47", it's from the Black Forest - and the best I've had (and I have had a few)

I'm still a bit uneasy as to what "central overheads" are, mentioned as being positively covered by cash generated. More precisely, I am interested to know what the non-central overheads are that are not being covered - the inverse if the RNS info. To me "central" implies HQ overheads, but not Marketing Working Budget or Sales Working Budget or even the costs of buying and converting the containers. But that's not to take away from an excellent looking RNS. GLA

Keep in mind that cash in hand now may be simply half the money from the £10 million raised through equity issue mid 2013. They spent half the cash raised in half a year. I am not being negative or sceptical, but don't necessarily think it is cash raised through sales. When zzz raised the £10 million last year the share price did not go up, it continued its slide in fact. Just a thought. JP
