Bought in August at over 2.40 Sold out yesterday at 1.48 As you say a disgrace.

one big early October seller out of the way.....Round where I live that £1.72 would not even cover half of bitter.

Like many other I guess I need the price to rise another 50p to break even. Do I hold for as few months to get the divi from the sale and in the hope that Clln or others are tempted back or sell out before the next profit warning comes ? All ideas/thought appreciated ! rgds

Thank you Del....your post made for uncomfortable reading. I sincerely hope you are wrong but fear you are spot on in your assertions. I have been a shareholder in FTO since the mid 1990's and stupidly topped up a few times this year, firstly when the price dropped below 10p then again when it first breached 9p. The special divi last October was substantial enough to make me happy but I honestly do not know what to do with my shares today. Sit and wait for hopefully better times or get out before the price drifts even lower. Rgds

Agree that Spirit seems to be in play now and if Green King does not bid again I tend to think somebody else will have a pop at them. So I too have bought in just to watch the fun.

Agree 300 was a bit of a cheap shot but as we are probably headed close to 200, I wonder whether I should have sold my small holding at the 280 level ??? I bought in a year ago at over 300....

I had always assumed that by buying in its own shares SVG was trying push up its share price. Other co's do it with success but the opposite seems to happen with us. Can anybody explain why, after buying in over 100 mio shares the price of SVG continues to decline. Thanks

why this share is so confusing to new potential buyers. At the start of business a sale was made at 9.34 . The first purchase of the day was 9.39. This was quickly followed by three sales, of increasing amounts, at 9.43, 9.55 and 9.65. The day ended with identical trades of 30,000 selling at 9.48 and buying at 9.49 Is it any wonder why nobody knows what tomorrow may bring ?

Why should there be a pullback ? Purchases still outnumber sales and the Abbvie offer valued at around £ 55.50 as we speak, helped by the declining pound. I was going to sell when the price reached £ 50 but lunch went on too long...now I think I will wait a little longer. Rgds

so not surprised see all 30 trades so far today have been purchases. Hopefully the price will rise back to levels seen a couple of months ago.

that the results due Mid Sept should be pretty good and as there would appear to be a reasonable amount of activity in this share I am surprised the price has edged downwards over the past few months. Does anybody have any ideas on SPH ?

For most of August all we saw were sellers but now in early September there seems to be a change underway if that big purchase is anything to go by. So why is the price remaining dormant ? I concur about the potential but why does nobody else seem to agree with us ? rgds
