No, not the same people, there are two different groups:

1) Those that speculate and hype the share. When nothing materialises, they can't blame the BOD because it wasn't the BOD who said it. They in fact defend the BOD and make up more speculative hype - "they must be in talks", "a deal is coming", "it must be working (twice as good with half the dose)"

2) those who don't hype then share and call the BOD out for lack of communication/progress.

I think most companies provide the opportunity to be a good or bad investment. It all depends on timing - your entry point and exit point. There is no doubt that Scancell has been a good investment for some since over the past 10 years the price has hit lows of 3.5p and highs (well A closing high) of 60p (65p intraday).
The ones for whom it has been a bad investment have been those who have adopted a buy and hold or accumulate and hold strategy. Just how bad will depend on the average price. As a LTH myself, this is one of the worst investments I have made. Although I technically haven't lost money here, the money tied up for 10 years could have made returns elsewhere.

That's a difficult one. Given the past record, the difficulties with the SA trial, the perception of Covid at the moment I'd say the chances are slim.

However, an increase in cases/severity and a deal with a major pharma could change all that.

I was thinking getting only 16 people out of 60 million was a poor effort. Now I understand alcoholism and drug abuse are excluded we have done rather well getting all 16 that qualify!

I didn't say it wasn't important - it clearly is. My point was that we as private investors are more interested in products in trial whose data will have a far greater and more immediate impact on the SP than yet another piece of undeveloped IP.
For those content with scientific papers rather than actual returns I guess it's very exciting.

Why the interest in new patents that probably won't be commercialised for another 15 years or more?

The focus should be on trial data for MODI1/SCIB1 and SCOV1/2.

Taking into account the products, the development stage, the potential, the additional funding requirements, the chance of success and the time required to capitalise on the potential this should easily be 30p. Anything less shows a a completely inadequate PR strategy.

If it's only worth £3B now it is unlikely to be worth £100B in 12 months.
To achieve £100B will take time (years) and money (billions).
£1 per share would be the value bet.

Well it's certainly disrupted my retirement plans. I was expecting £3.20 by 2013. With the dilution since then, looking for 80p by 2024.
