RE: “Scancell Holdings plc Directors and related holdings” were incorrect - website has now been updated8 Jun 2022 10:23
xviolet,
Back in September Lindy Durrant CEO "sold" 6,840,633 shares. Normally a CEO selling a significant amount of shares would be a red flag and negatively impact the SP.
However, it wasn't a straightforward "sell" but rather a rejig of her package involving transfer of shares from the Scancell Employee Benefit Trust and the award of a further 9 million share options.
The sale was in two tranches:
4,459,681 Shares at 20.38p pence per share to an existing institutional investor (Redmile)
2,380,952 shares at 21 pence per share to "a private individual"
There has been some speculation as to who the private individual was. (It turns out it was actually a "private individual")
Is there anything we can draw from this?
1. Lindy Durrant is (quite rightly) highly regarded by our biggest investor and seen key to success.
2. Redmile were quite happy to stump up 20p per share so don't worry that we are currently at 12p
3. A private individual was happy to stump up 21p per share (ditto)
4. With 9 miliion share options LD has plenty of incetive a) to succeed and b) secure the best possible price.
