RE: How much is Scancell worth now?7 Jun 2018 17:56
Ray, I understand that and agree that the points you list should result in a higher SP. I too, as an investor, feel it is undervalued.
MY point is that you cannot value it using probability in the manner of your first post. Here's why:
Suppose someone had bought half the tickets in a lottery, The prize was 1M. Now, using your methodology the ticket is worth 50% of 1M. Now ask yourself, would you pay 500K for a lottery ticket where the best you could hope for was to double your money? I wouldn't!
How much would you pay? 5K, 10K? Do you feel lucky?
So you haven't got a 100% chance of making 500K you have a 50% chance of making either 1M or nothing.
So despite the potential value and likelyhoods, this is why the share (possibly worth 6) is changing hands for a mere 14p. This is how much the market considers the risk is worth, yes RISK.
As for trusting the market, who do you trust? Panmore at 59p, Inanaca's at 6 (or is it 8 now?)
I for know if I trust the market and pay 14p today I probably won't lose too much tomorrow.
As I say, AIMO
