C7, I don’t really pay much attention to how many/ how much on a day to day basis.when I have wanted to buy or sell I’ve never had a problem, large trades invariably need to be a negotiated one.

C7 good point. The batch was manufactured around May/June 2017 so coming up two years. It was about £500k if I remember correctly. Anyone know the shelf life? Are people still being dosed?

Tommy, re your comment about LD, skin in the game and dilution:

I don't think it is reasonable to expect the founders of a company to bankroll it. Especially as Scancell is now a multi-million pound enterprise. It's hardly like re-mortgaging your house to set up a mail order warehouse. You have to assume that LD is happy with her stake in the company. I don't think it is money that motivates her.

Dilution is relative. What would you prefer? 2% of an asset worth £1 Million or 1% of an asset worth £500 Million?
She is probably in a better position than anyone to work out the potential value.

So let her get on with her work and let's have no more whinging about "skin in the game".

Ray, well if you do manage to get users you need to program it to buy SCLP whatever is happening. If they then replicate your trades we may see a rise.

My son in law (maths PHD from Cambridge) worked in the city writing algorythms for financial institutions. He retired at 34 and now lives in Peru.

Now whether they worked or not is another matter, fact is, he got paid shed loads for writing them!
I write forecasting systems for product sales, you factor in past history, seasonality, market predictions etc.
Would this work to forecast SCLP share price - not a chance! However, for larger traded stocks in can work.

What you really need from a share is steady progress and a regular news flow confirming progress and success. This then encourages a flow of funds from institutions, and a bit of buying/selling between fund managers. This hasn’t happened here ever, funds are raised in placings. The volumes have been low so a drop of this size although uncalled for is not surprising. Most pis are amateur investors. They will have seen the slide to 10p and thought this must be a bargain. Spooked by the drop to 8p they may have sold with 80% of their pot intact. Others will see the slide to 8p a thought this must be a bargain. Spooked by the drop to 6p they may have sold with 75% of their pot intact.

I’m not sure what’s going to break the cycle. At some point a more professional investor will start snapping them up. Or news will come. This share is driven (up and down) on sentiment alone by the looks.

Many thanks for the responses. I believe we really do have something special. If we are to appeal to new buyers I think we need to stick to the facts and try and avoid the temptation to over egg it, I know this is difficult when you believe in something. It is important to differentiate exactly what Scancell have that is unique to them (if we are to attract new buyers).

But As Cytotoxic CD4 cells aren’t anything
unique to Scancell there would be nothing stopping others using them in a “cancer vaccine” would there?

I’m not sure that cytotoxic CD4 cells “have never been done”. Are you dismissing the numerous references to cytotoxic CD4 cells in scientific journals over decades. If so, what are your reasons for discounting these?
