So here we are again....7 Mar 2019 11:51
…. SP languishing, IND not approved, No trials in progress, news black out re SCIB2/CRUK etc.
So what happens? We have a nice little discussion about semantics and trivialise complex, life-changing clinical trials by likening them to a Car MOT test!
"deadline" is not the best language C7 ....
Yes, technically correct, target date might be more accurate. A deadline is something that MUST happen for something else to occur. When I was implementing banking systems where there were a lot of complex interdependencies, we called them "drop-dead dates". If any team missed their drop-dead date, then access to the entire system could be threatened.
In this context however, the missing of a "target date" will doubtless be looked on unfavourably by the "market" with a negative effect on the SP. Then of course, there are patients who could benefit from the drugs for whom any delay is literally a "drop-dead" date.
Forgive the grumpy post, my niece's best friend has just come out of surgery for colorectal cancer. She is in her 30s with three small children.
This cancer type is one of Scancell's future targets I believe.
