I'm not sure it is in my best interests as a shareholder to post stuff like that. People need to do their own research.

The point is, there must be numerous "mechanisms of failure", the fact you do not have the time to research them or the intellect to recognise them does not alter the fact. The whole point of clinical trials is to progress past and overcome ALL the potential "mechanisms of failure" .

Many here, including me, understand the risks and have decided that in spite of them we will invest. It is important that everyone invests from a position of truth and knowledge (as far as is possible). Then we only have ourselves to blame if it goes t*ts up.

Anyone else spot the link between:

and

I think we need to be careful getting over-excited with claims of "fantastic science". We need to remember at this stage it is POTENTIALLY "fantastic science". It will only become "fantastic science" once it is PROVEN in trials as Inanaco says.

C7, you would only be 98% down if you bought at 50p and watched it go all the way to 1p. Who on earth would do that?
If on the other hand you had bought at 1p and sold at 7p you would be 700% up.

VAL has not been my best ever investment but certainly isn't the worst!

The insights of DE on Advfn are very interesting, it shows how difficult it is to even get in the door. It’s not surprising that CH reports they are pursuing EVERY avenue - they need too.

What’s happening with SCIB2 trial? This is a trial ALREADY funded by CRUK, surely we deserve an update from Scancell? Do you think they are waiting for a resolution to the Trigrid issue first? I assume Trigrid 2 will be the delivery method in the SCIB2 trial as well?

Interesting to note that deaths from melanoma in Australia are about the same as the UK in a much smaller population. I know they have more sun but they are well educated about the effects of UV slip, slap, slop and all that.

You can predict a cash call when you see the money running out, regardless of the science.

I do accept the science, who are you and I to dispute the writings of experts in the field. I also understand it to a sufficient level in order to make investment decisions.

No one can look at the science and say with 100% certainty that SCLP will be a commercial success.

C7, I was very sceptical about NXC on there and expressed that view. The insights he has given could only come from someone on the inside so I am convinced he is who he claims.

You are right to say things have moved on an DE acknowledges that. Some of the issues will no longer be relevant, some will and there will be completely new ones. I think it is important to gather all available information and decide what is true/false and what is important/noise.

At least Chelsea are back to winning ways!

Ivy, I’m very surprised at how candid and open DE has been, but thankful he has. It is quite refreshing to get a post from someone who actually know what they are talking about.

I can’t understand why you have been so evasive on what was a very simple question. Best leave it there I think.

TF, CRUK alone spend half a billion per year. How many charities are there world wide, hundreds, thousands?
Add to that commercial organisations, biotechs how much do they spend? Add to that academic establishments like Nottingham Trent with government funding. Has to be tens of billions per year.
It was a good question, it’s just a shame Inan, can’t explain the point he was trying to make.
