Anyway, I have a meeting with the CFO now to discuss my budget for next year. I will tell him "money is not relevant" and ask for a million pound a year salary which he can balance (on the balance sheet) with a million pound for my intellectual capital. Sorted!

There is no tight correlation between mcap and working capital (cash) although one may indirectly affect the other.
For example, if the market perceives a company is running out of cash with no prospect of raising any, the SP will fall. On the other hand, if a company has vast cash reserves, enough to cover continuing operations and planned development, the SP will rise, or stay strong.

Tommy, good point - the SCIB2 trial is funded by CRUK. So what on earth is happening about that one. What's the hold up? Has there been ANY sort of update from Scancell?

C7, as regards the terminology, you may well be right. I guess my frustration (apart from lack of coffee) is that we desperately need trials to start and any hint of further delays does not go down well.

Yes, today's results were very predictable. This is why I have not been tempted to buy (more) at 10p,8p,7p.
What an also be predicted is a need for funds. Whether that is 6 months or 12 months we could argue about all day.
What we don't know, is whether funds will come from a placing or a deal.
What can be predicted is, IF it is via placing it will be around 6p.

I sure that progress has been made "behind the scenes". But therein lies a problem, being behind the scenes, it is not seen by those on the outside, including us investors.

I think it is worth reading the words carefully - talking about the last cash raise:

"will allow us to focus on initiating the planned Phase 2 clinical trial for our lead ImmunoBody, SCIB1, and to advance our Moditope products, Modi-1 and Modi-2, towards the clinic".

Note: INITIATING the planned Phase 2 clinical trial (not COMPLETING)
and
TOWARDS the clinic (not INTO the clinic)

Sometimes you just have to read the lines, not even between the lines. If there is a placing, can't see it being above 6p.

C7, sorry, just working my way backwards through the numerous posts. Got delayed because my fuel filler cap was frozen.

C7, OK I accept that some costs will balance out, but entering 3/4 clinical trials I can't see the cash burn being any LESS than current £7.3M

I can't believe people are choosing to ignore today's up to the minute RNS:

"We are working closely with Ichor and the FDA to provide the additional information requested for the initiation of our Phase 2 checkpoint inhibitor combination study of SCIB1 in patients with advanced melanoma."

and continue to quote Cliff Holloway from months ago. "we are WORKING" (present tense) not "Have worked (past tense). This suggests there are ongoing issues, not resolved issues waiting for a rubber stamp.

This is in a time period where there are zero active trials. Add trial expense, manufacturing costs, 2 extra staff could easily exceed £8M

Confirmation of what we already know.
SCIB1 definitely NOT on track, still sorting things with FDA
Cash burn now nearly £8m per year.
Just enough cash to see us through 2019 (expect a cash call around September)
Still chasing too many targets, rather than focus on SCIB1/2 and modi.

Expect another red day. IMO.
