That's a lot of money to pay for one drug with an annual global market of $4B.
When you compare that to the Melanoma market of $14.1B per annum, a similar deal would be $19B for SCIB1 alone. (=£36/share)

Do think they may have paid over the odds?

Ipad, you had me worried there when you said "it cost them $5.5B last year", that's one of an expensive development cost. Then I found out the $5.5B was what they paid for Tesaro, presumably Tesaro have other drugs in the pipeline? The total annual market for ovarian cancer is not $5B.

The significance of CD19 to the Program is that ALL leukaemia cancers express CD19. This becomes very important if you are in fact targeting leukaemia as was the case.

Just asking if you had any views of your own. We can all google and read scholarly articles. Some of us have even mastered cut and paste apparently. The article you posted had correct use of punctuation and correct spelling of “their” so it obviously wasn’t your work.

The premier posters like Bermuda, wild, ray and crumbs do their research, present it in a simple way and offer opinions as to its relevance to Scancell.

What do they need a £3 Billion investment for?
A few months ago I said I would like to see Scancell raise £30 Million for trials in the current pipeline. You rubbished this idea saying they do not need £30 Million. But now you are saying they could get £3 Billion investment?
Explain.
