Inan, thanks for the response but I do understand that the Scancell approach targets post-translationally modified homocitrulline induced by MDSCs as stated in a number of presentations.
The other article talks about targeting the MDSCs themselves. So yes, it is easy to “link” the two articles but is there any significance?

What are you expecting re funding, issue price or deal?

The raising price is less important than getting funding and getting enough funding. Without funding, this is going nowhere except for a bargain price take over.

TF, the way I see it is all the news we are likely to get before jul-sept is expected: modi trial, scib1 patients dosed, another avidimab “collaboration”.
Any of these could add a few pence to the aSP.
Any major rise will come when we get an idea of the scib1 combo trial result and when there is data from human trials of moditope. There could be more than one fundraising before then!

C7, I wasn’t expecting a massive rise so for me this is probably as good as I was expecting. It is only another step in many that need to happen. This step should have happened many months ago.
I expect another modest rise once we get the first patient dosed RNS. Another rise once we get some data. How big a movement will depend on how good/bad the data is.
Then of course there is funding. Probably insufficient time now to establish a trading base in the teens so barring a cash generating deal, a share issue in the region of 5-7p looks on the cards.

Why not sell and buy back at 4p? It may well never go back to 4p. If I sell now and I’d didn’t, I have materialised the loss with no chance to get it back. I have to balance the risk of it not going to 4p against the risk of it not rising above 10p. I’m not a gambler, I’m an investor, as I said before in it for the long term. Hopefully, we will get a return one day.

I like many others here cannot sell and take the loss. Our only hope is it comes good in the long term. As CH said, deals need data and data needs trials. In other words, until trials start whatever you cut and paste about the science is totally irrelevant.

Inan, you are not in a position to gloat. If you want to trade for pennies go ahead. I’m in this for the long term. When it looks like it’s heading for 50p I may dip in at 10p again.looks like this is still stuck around 6p will drift back to 5p and possibly another vulpes buy in at 4p.

I have seen no compelling reason to add to my holding in that time. It would seem I was right. It also looks like it may be a while before I am compelled to by more. The science may be “compelling” but the financials certainly aint!

Most of us long term holders here understand the science. You however go beyond the claims of the real scientists working for Scancell.
What we adults are trying to discuss is how the so far unproven science will be monetised. This is what real investing is about.

No, the biggest challenge is trying to figure out how your ramblings are in any way relevant to Scancell as an investment.
These have been a few relevant posts.- lack of tangible progress, cash position etc, someone mentioned jam tomorrow we’ll be lucky to get any bread anytime soon.

I’m sure he will. Unfortunately what is a good deal for his (Vulpes) shareholders may not be so good for Scancell shareholders.
I too noticed no patient dosed yet.
Cash better than I thought, will last 11 months (from 31/10/2019 so September 2020 will run out.
