The whole idea of a patent is to secure exclusivity so by definition no one else can hold the patent for the exact thing.
The patent may well enable them to capitalise on the development of products which once tested in clinical Trials and taken to market (or sold to a big pharmaceutical) will result in them becoming world leaders in that particular field.
But world leaders at this particular time? No.

Maybe there isn’t an out and out leader at this stage, maybe it’s too early. Perhaps they are all still on the starting grid.
But to state categorically that “Scancell are world leaders” with no products approved, in trial or past phase 2 is ridiculous.

I read the article, no mention of Scancell or Professor Durrant.
Just because you found an article mentioning CD4 cells and Scancell are working with CD4 cells doesn’t mean it makes them “world leaders”

You are of course correct. The original accusation was of gloating that the SP had fallen. Even ratty’s lengthy pathetic attempt contained no evidence of this. As I said earlier, expressing an opinion that the price will fall (which you did, and were right) or expressing frustration that it HAS gone own does not constitute “gloating” that it has.

Can we just put this argument to bed once and for all. The claim and counter-claim is now getting boring.
I have followed this board since investing in Scancell - 8 years. In that time I don’t recall much “gloating” about SCLP SP going down. I checked Knowlesi’s recent history and found none. I then checked the SP chart to see when the last major fall was to see if gloating followed. This is what Knowlesi said on 13th May...
“ Just to be absolutely clear - I am not in any way keen to see the share price fall as was stated. My view of what I think will happen (And this is exactly what happens here day in, day out) is completely independent of what I WANT to happen. In no way do I want the share price to fall - I have zero inclination to buy any more. Do I think the share price will fall - yep I do. ”

At the time of posting, the SP was 7.25. From this time it continued to fall reaching a bottom on 14th July 5.3p. So Knowlesi called it spot on.

Can we all just accept that thinking the SP will drop is completely different to WANTING the SP to drop.

I’m sure a few here will share your reservations and perhaps have said so in the past.
Unfortunately many on this board have been duped by Inan’s mantra of “I can find no mechanisms of failure”
Now we have someone posting who actually understands the science and has highlighted a number of “mechanisms of failure”, a few have had their eyes opened.

It sounds to me that a deal is done, just a question of how much. News of this should get us into mid teens.
Good mouse data on Covid should get us into 20s.
Good data on SCIB1 and/or MODI1 30s and beyond!
