Looks as though airbus have cancelled a fair fee jet engines that were on order. Maybe that was why the drop 3% drop on Friday happened. I read this article at 8pm when it was published so don’t know if this info was known before that.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas and new year. In reflection I think the national lockdown is the best thing that could happen (apart from Covid eradicated completely of course) but this does enable the government to give the vaccine roll out a very very big push.

I think that alone increased sentiment across all of lse as we’ve seen this week. Ftse performing incredibly well. Albeit unexpected.

I was cleaning the house whilst had parliament on and misread the bulletin so apologise for that but yes your right. No doubt the whole uk will go into tier 4. Seems pointless not to now. I love how it filtered out his surname lol

Matt Han**** has released in parliament that uk will go into Tier 4 as of 31st. So we know this is factored in going into the new year at least.

Monday will be interesting. The vaccine roll out starts Monday. As will the new lockdown rules I would assume. What will come out on top I wonder?

I wonder what America will make of this in 40 mins.

Not sure what your point is but not keen on your tone. Day traders as well as long term holders both make serious amounts of money. But in conclusion they’re both a gamble.

I’m now invested (physical) here long term too so I’m keen for this to go up as much as anybody else. I’m sure if this had gone over 125 today the forum would be flooded with ‘this could hit 140 today and so on’. So it swings both ways as you know. :)

I was just making a point of a LTH can’t start calling short/medium or even day traders gamblers. They make just as much money, just a different method.

I’m still invested here so keen for the stock to go up. My point was I don’t think people understand how much the company is actually struggling. And to get little to no reaction on a piece of news like this today, one that pretty much everybody on here has said is a ‘game changer’ and will react well, hasn’t. Although there is less volume these last 2 days it does start to show that confidence is being lost in RR at the moment. I think yesterday showed us that in relation to other stocks performances.

Of course it’s all my opinion so I may be way off the mark but that’s how I’m seeing it at the minute.

Anyway, if a day trader struggles to make a ‘quick buck’ on the back of some positive news like this then I wouldn’t call it gambling. It’s a calculated risk. There no guarantees a long terms investors company couldn’t go bust but they do.

I didn’t say it was a quick buck but at the moment there’s only snippets of good news. This happens to be very good news for the UK and with no to almost negative reaction it’s still a little concerning.

I know long term will say wait in a years time but if big factors can’t even push this up even a little bit then things aren’t looking all that great... at the moment.

Be interesting to see what the share price opens up at now. Will the buy orders be heavy enough to give it a kick start this morning. Might be a good opportunity to get in.

Believe me, a lot of people would have been caught out on this today and who knows what tomorrow will bring. Ig index chart showing close of 113.83 but all other trading platforms are saying 112.85 so could be further downward pressure tomorrow until any better news.

Only good news to come now is the all expected AstraZeneca approval. I don’t think this has been priced in but with all the doom and gloom I don’t think it will accelerate this stock either.

Very annoying I know, I got caught out on the previous Friday when it hit 95. That hurt!
