RE: Great news for BLOE24 Dec 2025 14:19
The CCS project is analogous to finding an oil field .The seismic identifies the geological structures and possible oil traps ,equivalent to identifying the physical and chemical structures able to mineralise CO2. The next step is a proof of concept pilot scheme ,a pilot drill in the case of oil and pilot injection of CO2 in the case of CCS. The pilot drill will be deemed a success if it finds oil in possible commercial quantities and it is able to be brought to the surface.. The pilot drill is usually abandoned after being logged and sampled. The costs of drilling a pilot well will vary enormously depending on depth ,location, weather conditions etc. but it is always expensive. The CCS pilot used existing well . The test results where successful and exceeded expectations opening up a potential carbon capture project worth la great deal of money to BLOE.
Consider what happens to the share price of a small oil company who completes a successful pilot drill which finds oil at potentially commercial quantities who has a big company ready to step in and help with the heavy lifting. Now consider what just happened to BLOE's sp.?????????
