Although the Chinese market opened 8% down, copper is up !, just shows you that the demand is there.
So, once the recovery in markets start, then you will see Copper rising sharply.

I reckon we will go back to pre-corona prices in a week or two.

Here is some facts about the flu victims in the UK alone ( population 70 millions)

But I noticed that the fees are coming down (the 0.5% duty tax is of course the same :) )
You can now pay a fixed amount a month and have very cheap trades fee, so it is good for frequent traders.
Maybe I need to face my fears and try spread betting , not sure !!

Cheers for the info, I am trying to find a reasonable system to follow, with reliable indicators .
But I don't do spread betting at all, too risky for me !
As you, I use my Isa and Sipp for trading, and I am trying to make it into sections
Long period trading, or more like long time investment
Swing trading, from few days, to few weeks
Then a small section for day trading
I will keep trying till I run out of money or get rich !

The world had much worse than this, and managed to sort it out, and move on.
I am really surprised at the Markets reaction (Panic), because every winter, there are THOUSANDS unfortunately die of Flu
Every year on average 50,000 die of flu
1957 Asian flu (caused by H2N2), killed 1.1 million people worldwide
1968 (H3N2), killed 1 million people worldwide
2009 swine flu was relatively mild, killing up to 203,000 people worldwide.
Now, how many people died of Corona Virus so far ?

So, why this one causing all this panic ??

Also, don't forget that the US want to resolve this before it starts to spread in their country.
So, they will go on it full efforts too, and they have some of the best in scientists in the world.
On top of that, I am sure the UK, Frace , Germany,,, etc are on it too.

Auto, We all know how china can do things when they want to .
They built a full hospital in few days !!
I am sure they have "Thousands " of scientists working on a solution right now, 24/7
They are amazing people in the way they can direct their efforts in one direction
I expect a good result very soon.

Several Western nations are in a race to develop a Vaccine , they have already re-created the Virus in the labs
I reckon they will get a result in a week or two, because it is an international effort, also because the have the Virus to make the tests on it.

If you notice on many of the FTSE 250 companies, they usually starts shooting up (or down) a day or two before something big happens !
We will know tomorrow !

But I must admit that I am still rubbish at day trading, I keep missing the great selling and buying chances, it is a slow learning curve , maybe one day I will get it right and retired !
