So after all the ups and downs of the last 20 years postie's have been on national strike for a total of 3 days. In other words it is almost unheard of for them to actually strike. The postal market has changed massively since 2007. Customers have much more choice and the CWU are aware of it. They don't want the business to lose custom and so will be more reluctant than ever to calll a strike.
They don't want a ballot because they know that they could lose it but are more worried that they might win it.
