The last strike threat was 2018 when Moya caved in. The 2013 threat was gazumped by the government because they fast tracked privatisation in October before the union could organise a strike making it pointless. This might be a tactic of this management also. Trouble ahead regardless.
I don't get a pay packet but where in yours does it say you get paid breaks? I have great sympathy for you so try this. When management tell you they are stopping paid breaks tell them you don't get paid breaks and ask for some evidence.
I don't think RM pay 11% in, my notes say 9%. But some could argue that the union got you that deal as well. Some could also argue that postie's don't get paid breaks anyway. Where is the evidence?? Sick pay will be dealt with in next year's pay negotiation imho.
1000 applicants for 50 jobs recently at one mail centre. Long way from a strike. Arbitration ballot, vote and notice. Postie's could vote against a strike, they have before.
By the time the arbitration kicks in it will be October so no time for a strike this year. I said months ago that they would sell of Parcel Force. It's run as a separate business so easy to detach. Worth 200p a share on its own.
Short selling not releasing any stock. Institutions hoovering up any spare stock. Employee share scheme taking a chunk out every month for the foreseeable future. MMs struggle to fill orders and trying every trick in the book to shake out some stock. Pressure is building for a sudden jump in the SP. Swiftly back above 300p before you can say jack Robinson. All imho of course.
